I would recommend trying different brands until you find ones that suit ...
We have had two sets of these for a work printer. First set lasted well, unfortunately the yellow depleted very rapidly with the second set and now leaves us with a non functioning printer until we replenish one cartridge. I would recommend trying different brands until you find ones that suit your printing needs.Edit: kingjet contacted me and supplied more cartridges following this review. Can't fault their customer service which was excellent. Amended to 4 stars

Shades of hell (v3)
Bought on 19/05/2025 after a multi year break - absolutely fine no problem.16/10/2025 - Bought again - Cyan cartridge replaced with cartridge from new set of 4 - Didn't register Cyan - Took out all cartridges and replaced with all cartridges in this new set - still wouldn't work. Sent back for refund.Replaced with a set from an alternative supplier - worked first time no problems. The only mitigating issue may be, is that I refuse to install the latest firmware due to HP's stupid ink system where they try to force you down the ink subscription or OEM track. My printer, my rules (yes I know Epson do the same, etc). In Kingjet's extensive diagnostics they specify you should have the latest firware installed and that may be a reason that the cartridges don't work - but frankly that's a long shot. The diagnostic pages are good but none of their solutions ever have worked for me (I have tried nearly all of them and there are about ten solutions). I turn printer updates off and stay will the old firmware increasingly difficult as HP has end of lifed the Print doctor software and replaced it with a chintzy "app".Frankly if I load a cartridge from a competitor and it works then I likely to think there's something wrong with the chip in cartridge. HP is probably an abbreviation for Hell's Printers - so probably not all King Jet's fault.__________________________This review was published on 21/01/2021 as Shades of Hell - Kingjet contacted me on the 05/2023 to take this review down and they would send me a £30 Amazon gift card...I have 2 x HP 7720's and frankly between HP and the Ink suppliers they are total grief. The Officejet 8600's were fine. But HP make life really difficult. For a start they are continuously updating the firmware for no obvious benefit other than to themselves by invalidating the chips in third party products. Only trouble is if you have ink stocks sitting around a while, unless you tun the firmware updater off on the printer you going to end up binning inks (very eco-friendly!) as they can't be returned after a certain time. Forget about re-downloading the firmware from HP's site for the previous version as HP assiduously ensured all firmware is deleted for previous versions. Therefore third party suppliers are in a endless race to update to their chips. HP will you just STOP IT - when I buy a car I'm not forced to buy a set of tyres from the original manufacturer - maybe it's something to do with the extremely high price of your inks....Then there's Kingjet Inks - No more to blame than other manufacturers Officeworld / Matsuro - I've tried plenty of others - the previous two got returned due to chip issues. These particular inks though are a different shade of hell. I can't explain all the issues but my daughter is so disenchanted with the printer she's given up - it's collecting dust in the corner. Cyan cartridges which won't register even though they're loaded properly, cartridges on one printer won't be swapped and register correctly on another - eight cartridges and I can't get a single working set on either machine. Them in one particular case when I have a working set, there are ink splodges over the print outs and then the text disappears intermittently which means I have to do a maintenance clean once or twice before I can get a clean print. Which goes on and on, time and again. I don't whether the cartridges are just junk or whether this is HP's way of wasting your ink as it's a third party product but neither would surprise me. I'll carry on until these b***ard printers die and then never buy HP again not that EPSOM's support is supposed to be any better. I think it may just be time look at Brother or to go back to lasers - this is just too bl***dy painful.

HP update issue
Given up with these cartridges now. Last 2 times I have received them had problems. One set depleted ever so quickly and the most recent set would not work at all. Customer service so far has been good. In the process of returning if only I could print the return label off.......Update. After investigation it appears that it is a firmware update on the printer that is stopping it recognising third party ink. The customer service from this company is excellent and I would have continued to use them but for this unfortunate update by the printer manufacturer. Yes, the previous ink did run out rather quickly but that was all sorted. A shame that I am now being forced to pay more than double for ink.

HP Printer compatible ink cartridges
The ink cartridges were delivered prompty and having used the cartridges in the past, the quality is good and I like the simple packaging with affordable pricing.

Does the job quite well
Not as good as HP branded cartridges but about one third of the price so they’re good enough!!
User
New chip works without problem
Product is a vast improvement on HP Compatible ink cartridges. That is did to new advanced chip. As to whether the claimed pages of yield is as reliable, yet to be seen.
