Powdered food coloring
Colors are very concentrated. Not much needed for strong colors. Very happy! Pictured is use of the violet color using only 1/2 of and 1/8th of teaspoon in an ermine icing.

Powder wins me over
I have always used gel food coloring. Sometimes I had a few go bad and get runny or color change. This stuff is great! You just have to mix it really well.

Not for coloring chocolate
The pigment is great, but it is most likely gel based, and crumbles chocolate right away.

Great Food Color Powder, But Not for Chocolate!
I thought I had read enough reviews and heard that this powder could be used for coloring chocolate. NOT SO, I tried mixing it with a small amount of vegetable oil to activate the color, but sadly that did not work. Fortunately I was going to make some Royal Icing florals and I will use it for that. Please know that this does NOT work for coloring chocolate.

Beautiful colors but not small
Very very tiny. I wasn’t expecting them to be so small (that’s what she said). The color is also not pigmented enough for me. I had to use almost the whole bottle just to achieve the color and pigmentation I wanted. I was using these for rice sensory activities for my son. However, a quart sized ziploc bag of rice takes the whole coloring dye bottle. This shouldn’t be the case. I like the variety of the colors as I can do different sensory bin activities but it’s pointless if it takes a lot of dye for a little amount of whatever I’m using.

Trust The Process. Colors are accurate.
Worked great. Very pigmented.I’ve read some reviews the that powdered colors are incorrect. The colors out of the jar may not seem like the correct colors but trust the process. For example the green powder looks brown but it does come out green once mixed in to frosting.
