Bought a few of these to add 'function / feature' lighting to our drive and pathway. We have them surface mounted at low level (around 900mm high due to our low wall height) and have a Philips Hue Colour GU10 in them. They're a really nicely constructed light fitting. Surprisingly weighty due to an all metal construction, powder coated in a course matte black finish with rubber sealing. Only the back box is deformable plastic but it mounts and secures the fitting well enough. Comes with a wire terminal block and are earthed.Three things to note:-1). These are normally 'rear fed supply' lamps so are really more ideal on a wall where the supply cable is chased or drilled through. I have them so that they are cable fed through the bottom of the mounting 'box' so had to drill and grommet a 10mm hole to facilitate that as well as modify the plastic mounting box they screw onto... and then fed them flush via 20mm dia. black conduit. It all looks purposeful and intended but required a lot of warranty voiding modifications so I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you're a carefree experimental DIY lunatic like myself.2). If you're going to fit Philips Hue GU10 bulbs - which I thoroughly recommend, particularly the 'colour' ones - then it has be the current Generation 2 Bluetooth bulbs. The first generation bulbs will not fit due to their longer length.3). The back box that holds these fittings on to the wall is the only part made of plastic and is the weakest part of the whole design. I have had a couple of them accidentally knocked and they have literally snapped off leaving the light hanging by it’s wires. Thankfully I have found a source that sells them separately.I'm really happy with the way they turned out. They look neat whilst being pretty robust and the Hue bulbs add versatility. They were good value too. Recommended.

I had two of these lights installed nine years ago. They have not tarnished in the nine years and would look brand new if I gave them a wash. The silver fixing screws on the sides show no signs of rust, so must be stainless steel. It is important for me that I can replace the bulbs with a standard fitting LED bulb and choose the colour temperature, though to date I have only had to replace one bulb (I never buy integrated LED lighting). These are compact and neat lights that provide sufficient lighting, and being downlighters only, keep light polution to a minimum. I am very pleased with them and am about to buy another to replace a poor quality plastic light installed by an electrician. The only improvement for me would be to replace the silver screws with black, though not at the expense of them being stainless.

Very pleased with these reasonably priced outdoor wall lights, they provide a nice mellow effect in my country cottage. The village is against strong lighting, and these are perfect, as they provide a modest amount of light but it still makes all the difference when you get home in the pitch dark! They won't illuminate a whole terrace or garden, as the light is cast down onto a relatively small area. I have two of them either side of a wall fountain at the back, and one as a 'guiding light' on the front wall by the car-parking area, all hooked up to a sensor so they come on automatically each evening They look great, and I'm getting two more, which again I'll put on a sensor, to help light the path on the other side of the house.

I bought 3 of these to replace the ageing horrible mock Victorian lamps that the previous house owner installed. They fairly easy to fit if you know what you're doing and the quality seems good. I fitted LED bulbs so they should last for the next 10-20 years!I was so pleased with them that I've ordered another three.They don't light up a huge area, and obviously the light all goes downwards rather than outwards, so you need to think about where you put them. Just what I wanted though.
