Great shooting glasses
I purchased these specifically for shooting firearms, and the rose color lenses. They work great, offer exceptional protection and are comfortable to wear for the day. They don't slide around on my nose which is really important while shooting sporting clays. No complaints at all!

Good tactical product
Comfortable to wear. Glasses do not scratch when dropped on asphalt. Replacing glass on a new frame is difficult.

Only Wearable w/Earmuffs or Cinched Up Leash
This review is for Wiley X Vapor Comm (Communication) Ballistic Safety Glasses (SKU: 3552). This set comes with the frame, clear lens, light rust lens, smoke grey lens, adjustable leash cord with rubber grips, cleaning cloth, and case.I bought this Wiley X eye protection set because I was looking to step up from my Howard Leight Genesis glasses (R-03570). I wanted something that had good front and side coverage, excellent clarity, interchangeable lenses, and military ballistic safety rating. I searched all the information I could find online, and I narrowed it down to two: Wiley X and Oakley. On the Wiley X side, I liked the WX Vapor and WX Vapor Comm the most. According to the Wiley X website, the only difference between the two is the Comm (Communication) version has thinner temples for use with over the ear protection (earmuffs). I use more earmuffs than earplugs, so the Comm version seemed the way to go for Wiley X. On the Oakley side, I was considering the SI Ballistic M Frame Alpha Array. I don't know of any local stores that had either, so everything I had to work with for information was from online. I like that both are made in the USA, and I prefer Wiley X over the Luxotica Group that has the eye/sunglasses market cornered. Also, depending on which Oakley Alpha kit you are looking it can be up to four times the price of the Wiley WX Vapor kit. Ultimately, for my usage I decided to try the Wiley WX Vapor Comm kit.The Wiley X glasses came with the smoke grey lens installed. I tried them on, and I was immediately disappointed. The nose pad is huge and was almost jabbing into my eye. Fortunately, the nose pad is adjustable. I had to push it all the way forward towards the lens to get the glasses to fit me right, and even though I widened them I still felt I couldn't get the glasses to seat perfectly. They did seat fine though. However, the biggest complaint is the temples. They are very flimsy, and not in a concern of breaking them kind of way. Rather, they are flimsy in that they don't do much to hold the glasses on to your head. If you look down, they feel like they are going to fall off. In fact, if you look down and do any light head movements, they immediately start to slide off your head. I was extremely disappointed at this point. However, I tried these with earmuffs on, and they do fit great with earmuffs. The thin temples aren't noticeable at all. Not only do you not feel them, but since they are very thin the earmuffs seal very good around them. It was at this moment that I realized you pretty much have to use these with earmuffs. I suppose alternatively that you could use these with the included adjustable leash cord, but you would have to have them cinched up snuggly to keep them on your head if you are going to be moving around. Also, I really didn't want a leash cord tail dangly off of the back of my head. These glasses do have many positives going for them. The lenses are rated MIL-PRF-32432A ballistic safety standard, which is much higher than the ANSI Z87.1+ safety standard. The lens quality is great. There is very tiny image shift, and the clarity is exceptional. The lens coverage is also extremely good across the front and sides. You can use these with a prescription insert. The nose pad is very adjustable, comfortable, and has good traction. The top of the frame has a lip to reduce the gap between the frame and your forehead. The lens is interchangeable, and the kit comes with the essential three tints of lenses for use in any situation. The included leash is adjustable and has rubber tube grips to slide over the ends of the temples. The included case is exceptional. It might be the best glasses case that I have ever seen. The case is very sturdy, has loops, a button buckle, and snap clip to attach to belts or bags. The case also holds the other lenses and is compact for being able to hold the glasses, lenses, cleaning cloth, and leash.Ultimately, I decided to return these. I really didn't like that they stay on so loosely without earmuffs or cinched up leash. I thought about ordering the standard, non-Comm, version of these, to see if the temples on them are better at holding these glasses on to your head, but I decided not to. I also didn't bother to try changing out the lens out of concern of breaking them. The instructions for changing the lens were not great either. If I were only going to uses these glasses with earmuffs or the leash cinched up, then these would be a very solid choice, and if that is going to be your application, then these very well may work out better for you than they did for me. However, for now, I am going to stick with my very low-cost Howard Leight Genesis glasses, but eventually I am going to want to find something with tinted/interchangeable lenses and high clarity.
