The original Tarpfox Tarp consists of 19 fixing points, 4 guy ropes and 4 ground pegs. With dimensions of 2.9ft x 2.9ft / 2.9 m x 2.9 m and a weight of 750 g, it is ideal for any terrain. The Tarp’s tearproof material of PU-coated (1500 mm) polyester (210T) makes it extremely waterproof and protects against solar radiation. Thanks to the distribution of loops on its surface, the Tarp is incredibly versatile and can be used as a tent roof, a cover, a sun shield, a rain and wind cover for people, equipment or other objects. All seams are manufactured to a high standard and have a watertight seal. The Tarpfox is designed for extreme outdoor use and, due to its flexibility, can be used in the garden or on the terrace without any problems. The colour of both the Tarp and the bag provided is olive green.

Quality materials badly assembled
Cheaper than a DD but you will have to buy seam sealant to fix the holes made by the bad stiching. Mine is going back for a full refund (which Amazon wont give me untill AFTER they recieve it, even though I am a weekly customer of over 10 years). The only reason it didnt get 1 star is that, if you already have some seal sealant knocking around the house and its a sunny day, then the holes can be repaired fairly easily. Even then, im not sure i would trust it enough to take on a trek. First night out in light rain and the tarp leaked like a sieve
I'm afraid I have to agree with the other negative reviews of this item!First night out in light rain and the tarp leaked like a sieve, particularly at the stitching around the reinforcement for the three centremost webbing loops on the ridge seam. When I got home I found that I could see daylight through little pin-holes in the stitching around the webbing-loop reinforcement, which means I am going to have to fork out a further £10 for some "seam sealent" before I use it again. I shouldn't have to do this with a brand new item. This item should NOT be advertised as "waterproof" because it leaks and no attempt has been made by the Chinese manufacturer to seal the stitching. I think Amazon should be contacting the seller to advise them on revising their misleading description as I am not the only person to claim that this product leaks.Once I have sealed the stitching, it should be an ok product. It's a decent size that just about covers my hammock, it can be configured in many different ways to suit the location and it's not too heavy to carry around in your back-pack.If you intend buying one of these, you will need to purchase some seam sealent at the same time unless you intend using it only on dry days/nights when no risk of rain is forecast! It is always disapointing having to perform remedial work on a new item but I think 1-star is a little harsh so I've given it 2-stars. If I'd known what I know now, I would probably have gone for the DD tarp instead of the Tarpfox. Then again, I may have had the same trouble with a DD tarp, who knows? I expect they're all made in China anyways.

Very useful as an extra quick cover for the rain or sun. Decent quality so it felt like it would hold out in any winds. Extra cord is needed for the middle loops which you need to get the shape stretched out properly. Useful loops included across the top apex for threading some cord through. Worth having as it packs small and weighs only 2.2lbs/1.00 kg (without pegs).

Best tarp yet !
A big lightweight tarp that folds down small and dosn't take up much room when packed in rucksack.Well stitched and strong offering more privacy than other smaller tarps and easy to erect with adequate fixing fixing loops.Highly recommended.Great service from supplier.

Nice tarp, shame peg and guys not of same quality
Tarp looks good. Disappointed with ground pegs and guy ropes though. Thin shortish non-stretch guys and basic metal ground pegs - will be replacing both before we take it festival camping as awning
