Pros/Cons: I like Basmati Rice in both original bulk options and convenience packets like this one. There are times when I don't want to cook for others, but still want to have a quick meal that I can add vegetables or leftover chicken for a lunch or dinner just for me. It's a good color, smells delicious, tastes great, and ready in minutes. Health is important, and this rice is good for those with dietary restrictions due to kidney issues. I serve it with herbs and healthy fats as an alternative to using potatoes or other starches. It's a lovely option, especially for individuals. More economical when bought in different forms that require a rice cooker for larger families, but value is more than just price, I enjoy the simplicity when it's just for me and/or my partner.

I love Uncle Bens ready rice Basmati flavor. Quick and easy prep time and pairs well with alot of dishes. Highly recommend.

Guess I haven't had Basmati like this one before. Each grain is slimmer than regular rice... really liked the difference. It is a white rice, but somehow lighter in texture. Remains very moist, rather than real chewy...great!

Love this rice. It always comes out nice and fluffy when we follow directions appropriately. Easy to use single packets for about 2 servings. I tend to heat this up and use half for lunch one day and then save the other half for the next. When I reheat the saved rice I tend to use a couple of teaspoons of chicken or beef broth (depending on what I'm having it in) in the bottom of the container to give the rice a little more flavor.

Rice is extremely easy to prepare, but does not taste like basmati rice. Rice is totally without any flavor. 😳

Best tasting rice ever, I like it better than fresh cooked rice or even sticky rice made from a rice maker. It only takes 1 minute 30 seconds to cook in the microwave, no water needed. I have tried ALL the other flavors but this Basmati flavor was the best. I've gone through 5 cases so far since finding out about it. Amazon has the best value found so far.

I live in an assisted living apartment with what is euphemistically referred to as a “kitchenette” — basically, I have a 2-burner electric cooktop, a microwave, and a decent sized refrigerator with no counter space at all. So I use pre-cooked packaged products that I can reheat in the microwave a lot. This is my favorite of the pre-cooked rice varieties. It’s a long grain white rice with a good flavor that pairs well with a lot of things. I use it as a base for a creole black beans and rice dish (with sliced andouille sausage), topped with chili and cheese, and with curries. It takes only 90 seconds to heat up. Easy to use and versatile. I keep it on hand all the time (I have it on subscribe and save). Good stuff!
