God Bless Frankie Boyle.
It is interesting that the star ratings on here are polarized, almost 50/50.I guess some people don't get irony, or perhaps they simply love expressing how offended they are.'I'm not offended - I just didn't find it funny' is one of those popular laughable pompous lies you'll read on here.Well so f***ing what.I don't give a monkey's about pathetic whinging. Jog on.(Cue 'I don't care about your opinion either....whine, yawn...)Honestly, If I could Reach Out Through Your Monitor Screen And Strangle You I Would.I gave this 4 stars as I felt it wasn't quite up to the standard of his debut DVD, so I feel he can do better. But it's still bloody funny, though.Unlike Amazon reviews, written by plebs for plebs.

OUTRAGEOUS!!!
Frankie Boyle is my favourite stand up comedian ,his unique brand of coruscating gallows humour make me HOWL with laughter and tickle my tonsils, his sometimes cruel observations, witty one liners pull no punches and I love him for his honesty ,brilliant self deprecation and Ginger hair.Only the closeted racists, misogynists, homophobes ,anti-disability brigade would find his humour offensive. Political Correctness has destroyed Freedom of speech and expression, offering the kind of bland fare that might be TV friendly but paradoxically doesn't speak on behalf of those excluded from the mainstream media. Being Gay, Black or Disabled doesn't remove one's sense of humour, as often laughter, especially a raucous cackle in the dark can help make a difficult Life more bearable and mitigate the feelings of injustice and disempowerment. To make assumptions about what minorities find hilarious/acceptable is both patronising, condescending and missing the point; one's situation might be dire and tragic, but laughter is a balm that will ease many aches through the darkest times. Don't bristle with self righteousness because you feel offended, the jokes are ultimately on YOU not us.

A very funny dvd indeed!
I bought this dvd as a fan of Frankie Boyle, so I knew I'd like it regardless, however, I'm not a sun-reading, knuckle-headed imbecile, which sadly, he's lately began to attract to his brand of humour, (similarly Al Murray has this problem as of late). He is a very good comedian, offensive yes, but very funny!I own both of his dvds and I have to say this one is my favourite of the two, the jokes are superb, his timing is amazing, and although he can seem abrasibe at times, he is still a very talented comedian, and this dvd does him justice. If you get offended by everything, best to avoid it, because you wont enjoy this at all, if however you realise it's all just a joke, a harmless joke, then I highly recommend it!

Pretty funny stuff
I love Frankie Boyle and I think he can be a very funny man. I don't understand why people get so upset about some of the things he says, for one he knows it's a joke and for two of you don't like him no one is forcing you to listen to him. The only thing that disappointed me about this dvd was that it had a lot of content that I'd already heard, it still made me laugh again though.

Good honest humour!
The last person who reviewed Frankie Boyle's work negatively couldn't even spell the word boycott correctly so that's a bit worrying. Anyway, those people who find his work shocking and repulsive are great for Frankie Boyle cos they talk about him and build curiousity around him and as they say, all press is good press if your famous and wanting to sell something. The joke about Jordan's kid was close to the bone but as Eminem once said, get a sense of humour. If you take offence easily, Frankie will keep giving it to you and for those of us who like his risque work, we'll keep laughing at your outraged reactions to his jokes.

Probably the best stand up comedian of his generation
Probably the best stand up comedian of his generation. Not since Connolly has someone cast a so acerbic eye over humanity. This is not his best work; earlier works, shows, are wittier and funnier. However, this show displays a Frankie that was always there but hidden. A Frankie that really cares; not just a Frankie that is just in it 'for the laughs'. It would be easy to call him a comic genius but he is more than that. He says things that we all think but dare not say and that's we laugh.

Mad Frankie Boyle
I was worried how Frankie Boyle would convey his second stand up DVD, the first was full of laughs all the way through and it would have been easy for "If I could...." to be a bit of a let down. I can tell you now that if you like jokes that no one else would dare think up or tell, this is your cup of pish. Frankie Boyle manages to turn every crowd interaction into pure gold and you definitely wish you were there, even if you were going to get ripped. Really good extras worth a watch too.
