Very good product, easy to use, no smell and the tub will last for years, hardly used anything of it for my stove and my cast iron fire place. Good finish that gets better as it cures.

Had to clean stove with white spirits and wait to dry, coverage was good but messy. Quite pleased with the result. Colour was good. Need to light a small fire to dry no odour.

Well the first thing to know is that it’s definitely black, black as a coal hole, if you’re of an age to remember such things. Will it stay black once you start using the wood burner ? At this moment in time I haven’t a clue as it’s not cold enough for me to want a fire but in relation to improving the look of my wood burner it’s a definite yes from me. Only had my fire for six months and only four months of use had taken the black out of the cast iron. This stuff has definitely put it back and it’s looking like new again so the quality seems to be there. It took very little of the product on a bit of sponge to cover a great deal of metal so I think it ticks the value for money box, it also took very little effort to apply but wear rubber gloves to protect your hands and avoid touching it in any way for a good twenty minutes to allow it to completely dry. I’ll be honest I don’t expect it to last that long once fires are lit and the heat does its thing but as it’s so easy and economical to use I don’t think it’s a major problem. I’m happy enough with the results and the amount needed to achieve them so the jobs a good un.

This stuff is amazing. Having melted a dustpan and brush ontop of my stove I finally bought this restorer to see if it would hide the plastic stain on the top of my stove. You only need a small amount of this on a sponge with PPE on your hands and it goes a long way. I applied 3 coats, 1 before each stove fire. The stain is now gone, simply incredible stuff. And when cured and dry after using the stove the stove is the same colour as the rest of the stove so it worked perfectly. Can't recommend this product highly enough. Will last years too.

Made my wood burning stove look good

It certainly restores the black colour of my fire grate. I haven't tried buffing the polish after application as I don't mind the matt finish! However, the polish doesn't seem to last as long as others I have used.

I’ve tried other stove cleaners before, but this one covers really well, leaving a pristine stove! Quick and easy to use too!

Easy to apply..I cleaned the stove with a wet wipe and some kitchen cleaner to de-grese the exterior..removed the glass makes it easier . Then set about the first coat with a sponge (old pan scrubber reversed) ..3 min later it was looking quite smart ...but I had slight rust coloured patch on my stoves top (from were a fan had been seated). That grinned back through. So I used a brush and gave it two thick coats an hour between. Sorted that right out..Dries to a semi matt finish . I even used it on the black rough wood surround as that was full of lint from my wife tying to dust it with a cloth..came up brilliant . Very easy to apply..consistency of thick yoghurt..One pot would do about 4 stove's with easy. Smells a bit when you light a fire afterwards but only for two fires then it disappears .

I was told use the wood burner spray paint but i heard of this item. Easy to use, no smell. Woodburner looks brand new after using this product.

I bought this because the top of my wood stove had some rust spots, but it looked so good that I repainted the entire thing, including the stovepipe. The last time it got redone I used the polish, which never really cured ( touching the stove left black smears on your hand even years later) and smoked like mad the first time we had a fire afterwards. This paint was completely cured in ten minutes ( no smears ) and there was no smoke when we fired up the stove. I used a small sponge as recommended and did thin overlapping strokes, and there are no issues with brush strokes. I highly, highly recommend this product for someone looking to refinish their wood stove or stovepipe, especially over the polish.
