Viega 49610 (14) Port MANABLOC without Port Adapters (6 Hot, 8 Cold)

Needed this Manablock to re plumb an old house with Pex.The Manafold is as advertised and excellent quality the only downside is it didn't come with any port adapters but I can pick these up at my local plumbing supplies. I will be using crimp rings to attach the cold and hot outlets which will make the plumbing job a breeze.

Very intuitive and cuts down a lot of extra time. Great for a small home

This is a sub-stanard product. The plastic is too soft allowing the threads to deform. I had to use a thread file to re-shape the threads on the inlet connections. that took me over an hour and evan then I had to work the fitting back and forth to get it tight. The injection mold they used is worn out allowing the male threads to be miss shaped. A lot of money for a sub- par product. But what can you expect from the country it came from.

A word of caution for anyone looking at this unit. The connections are 3/4" NPT. If your not expecting that, then this may not be the unit your looing for (I was expecting 1/2", not 3/4"). Buying the 3/4" fittings in my case would add a cost I was not expecting. Not to say this won't work for you, but just keep that in mind if you order. Otherwise, looking first hand at the manifold, it looks like a well made unit. Includes such pluses as a paper template to assist with install, labels to mark what valve is what, and a handy on/off valve tool to make selecting down stream segments easy. It was just the unexpected 3/4" fitting that made this not a practical choice for my specific installation. Ironically, when I first started my plumbing retrofit, had I known this had the 3/4" threaded connections, that would have been a plus in my book as almost everything else I found was 1/2".

Product is sold incomplete unable to use it without the port attatchments to hook up to it pex water lines.
