I never urinated in these panties but I can say that it holds leakage very well without an order.

Q: Do you wear regular underwear over these? Or just these alone? (Will be wearing them postpartum)

Apparently they do sit a few inches below the waist, almost like the fit of low rider jeans. However, I understand that if you go up a size they fit more like a traditional panty; they just won't be quite as leak proof with major leaks as would a more tight fitting "panty."
