Direct swap for one which had packed up. No problems and works fine. The ‘white’ light LED is an improvement over the old one.

Spotvent just the job if you already have the extractor fan
Nice shower light and extractor vent. A bit on the expensive side when it does not include the extractor fan, but fast delivery

Stop and check hole size before you buy
This vent needs 120mm hole. My fault for not reading the discription fully. I knew my existing vent light was 100mm. This is very common. It's easy enough to drill the correct size hole (with the right tools) in a plain ceiling, but as mine had just been re-plastered with the 100mm hole in place, I didnt fancy trying to enlarage the hole with a plasterboard saw. The product itself doesn't strike me as being of high quality, but I believe would be adequate for the task... the bulb is replaceable and its holder looks a bit more robust than the cheapest models. In fact as I type this I'm considering blanking the existing hole with a piece of ply screwed to the back of the plasterboard and redrilling a 120mm hole. Hope that helps.Quick update. Re-drilled the ceiling to accept the larger diametre and am happy with the finish. I've now given 4 stars, as once fitted it looks very nice. However £34 was a lot of money for what is basically a all plastic bulb holder and transformer. Believe I have now seen the same item for around £10 less on ebay.
