Fills the gap between secateurs and loppers and great for those of us with weak grip
I bought these on the strength of other reviewers' comments on their small size as I have small hands with a touch of arthritis and needed something in areas of fairly dense foliage for those thicker branches that I couldn't cut with the secateurs. These are just that and have proved ideal for my shrubs and small trees. They are sturdy and came at a very reasonable price. Admittedly they are no substitute for full-sized heavy extending loppers, and I have had to buy a pair of those too, but for those in-between branches they have turned out to be a real asset.

Good for the money.
At the price I can't fault the item. It does the job.I only gave it four stars because I think the handles could be a bit longer which would have helped with some of the thicker bits I had to cut through. But I like it and would say if you're looking for something to use at low level or on steps then this is for you.

Five years on
Small by the standard of lopers but excellent. Perhaps best to regard them as secateurs on steroids. Great for my garden which is full of big woody shrubs like buddlia ..... rather taxing for ordinary pruners. Also I have a bit of arthritis in my hands and these are so much easier to use being two handed. It is now February 2017 the pruners have seen the full cycle of the gardening year and some more. Still performing excellently. WHAT A BARGAIN!!!!It is now 5 years since I bought these and still going strong, grubby and a bit battle scarred but still functioning perfectly.

think twice before purchase
well made fair price but don,t think this tool is a lopper only good to trim branches 1ins thick should be classed as long handle secateurs

Bought a good few months ago
Bought a good few months ago. It's the sort of implement that one does not use every day but when I have had need to use it there have been no problems. A useful tool.

Four Stars
Good value for money, but remember it is for small branches only. Fills the gap between secateurs and loppers.

Good At The Price
Yes they're cheap and sturdy and they did the job I ordered them for, but I should have got a better quality item with longer handles. And so should you.
