This saw is excellent, it is very sharp and is able to be used in a variety of projects. it is very portable and makes accurate cuts. It has been very durable and was an excellent value. You should probably add one to your tool bag.

Good quality saw, very sharp, works great. It did leave a little bit of the black paint on the material that I was cutting which cost it a star. Still I would recommend it because it was a good price.

I cannot compare this to other saws of this style, but as a woodworking who mainly uses power tools and just needed a flush cut saw for occasional uses this works great. The handle feels good in my hand and is easy to cut through wood without marring the surface. Will it remain sharp and effective as long as a more expensive saw? Perhaps, though I wouldn't expect it to. For the low price, it's at minimum a good saw to try if you're just getting started. If you wear through it, you're out very little and it's a good sign you're actually going to use the saw enough to invest more into one.

This is a great saw, thin due to cutting on the pull stroke, allows for very easy straight line cutting with almost no material loss, maybe 1/32 or less of board is turned into dust. This allows cutting off dowels and other wood very close to another surface or for super fine detail work like dovetails where the larger saws would be unwieldy. Has nice covers to prevent the cutting tips from getting damaged (or damaging you) when not needed. I'm making a canvas roll pouch to hold all of the saws as they are rather long when the blade is installed. Fit and finish are excellent as is ease of use. If you have historically been bad at hand sawing, give this a try, you'll stop using a power saw for many applications.

The saw is sharp,it was not expensive, and the blade is flexible. But it is not for fine detail work. The set on both sets of teeth is too aggressive for flush cutting. The teeth are long and not fine. It doesn't cut as clean as my 45.00 ryoba saw. I bought this thinking I'd use it for slicing dowels off flush with the piece they are used in. Not even going to attempt it. I went to my local woodcraft store and spent 29.00 on a quality flushcut Japanese pull saw. I'll keep this for rough cuts.

It's my very first saw that I have purchased and used, so I have no idea how it compares with others. What I will say is that as a left handed person sometimes cutting tools are not very cooperative. This tool was tested on smaller pieces of wood and person well. It is a hand saw so you do have to put in a little muscle, but does work well on cutting molding and smaller pieces of wood. So, if you are learning and need to cut smaller pieces of wood from time to time, this will be a great addition to your tools. I would also recommend that you purchase a miter saw that's not electric. I would not get the plastic version for many reasons.
