Surprisingly surprised!
First off , the sheath is almost worth the price of the whole package, 25 dollars at the time of writing this . I bought this because I was interested in the esee 2.5 and don't have anywhere close to me that carries it in stock. I wanted to get it in my hands before I coughed up the 100 or so dollars . I watched several videos of the 2.5 and looked at a few photos and it just looked really small , and the handle looked oddly shaped to me. Then I came across this knife for 25 bucks. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but a similarly sized and shaped esee 2.5 clone made for peanuts and slapped together haphazardly and shipped out the door to whatever poor sap would bite on the advertised price. ( me ) I was wrong. I have spent a lot more money on a lot , and I mean a lot worse blades. Not even counting the sheath, which can be a crap shoot for even some bigger knife companies. For the price I paid for this knife I am exceedingly satisfied . It was shaving sharp out of the box , the blade grind looked even to me , the blade finish was uniform. No burrs or rough spots on anything. The handle scales were microscopically uneven in the finger groove area but that's really grasping to find a flaw on my part. I'm very particular about some things and it's so slight as to be virtually unnoticeable. The handle shape just sinks into my hand like it melted there and the blade length is pretty perfect for all around use. The sheath is very well formed and finished , with a drain hole, and provides really good retention. I swapped out the belt clip for an ulticlip which fit perfectly, and it's good to go. It's got a good weight to it , light in the pocket but not too heavy. A perfect EDC pocket fixed blade. I still plan on buying the esee but it will just be a little later on. Not gonna lie , I'm feeling a little guilty right now for liking this knife so much and also not spending the extra for a made in America product that I could have just returned if I wasn't satisfied with it. Eh , I'll just buy 2 esee's next , problem solved ๐

worth every penny, and then some.
I bought this thinking it would be a clone of the Esee CR 2.5, which I have had my eye on for a while. It is not. I bought both so I could see them side by side. The Esee is about 10-15% smaller. I like the dimensions of this knife better but prefer the materials and craftsmanship of the Esee. If Esee made something the same size as this knife, I'd spend the extra money to get that instead. This knife is perfect for my needs, with a little modification. It's like a beefy scalpel, perfect for field dressing big game (gutting, not skinning: I skin at home and have knives I like for that part) or processing small game. It's compact, light and the perfect size and shape. Whether the steel is really DC53 or not is an open question at this price point, but whatever the steel is, it's good enough. I sharpened the 9() degree spine for use fleshing small furs and other scraping tasks. The sheath is good enough, though a little loose for my tastes. I drilled a hole and added a chicago screw and rubber washer to make the retention adjustable. It carries well either as a neck knife or static carry inside the waistband. The micarta handle seemed slick to me until I saturated it with WD-40. Seems counterintuitive but now it's got just enough grip. This was one of the sharpest-out-of-the-box knives I have ever bought. Overall, I love it. I'm switching from a folder to this for edc. I also consider it a near-perfect hunting and foraging knife. And for those who feel bad about buying cheap Chinese clones, rest assured: this is not a ripoff of the Esee CR 2.5, though it may be a ripoff of the criminally overpriced Benchmade Flyway.

Not a bad fixie and sheath for $25
This knife is pretty good for the money! Itโs definitely a copy of an esee but Iโm not really a knife snob as long as it performs. This knife is nice fit and finish is good blade edge is uneven but sharp. The kydex sheath is also very nice! Good retention, fit and the tek lok is a nice addition

Nice knife
Awesome, for the price, and it works well, I put an ulticlip on it first in the pocket, comes sharp, and I would highly recommend.

great skinner and de-boner
This is a lot of knife for the money. The blade is thick, heavy, and razor sharp out of the box, the handle material seems very nice. The bead blast finish is attractive and well done. The case is beyond what I would expect at this price point, but the manufacturers know what's up. I won't buy a knife, even (maybe especially) an exceptional knife, if the sheath is poor quality. This is a quality knife, but they outdid themselves on the quality of the sheath for a knife at this price point. I'll be buying more of these as gifts and backups.

Excellent edc
Many claim it is a clone of an esse cr2.5, they do not know the definition of the word clone. It has similar shape but blade is longer, handle too, blade is shaped slightly different, it does have design similarities I agree, BUT is not a clone. Now I am a esee fan as I have a couple dozen esee's. The dc53 holds a better edge longer the esee's 1095 which for me is a plus being an edc for me. The sheath is very good with excellent retention while still being easy to draw, the clip is a mini teklock type and is good, but teklock is nicer, some will prefer a utilitec clip for compactness. i like the fact the included clip positions the knife with bit of clearance from my body. Overall this is a big win. More than worth a purchase. Bought 3 and will update if anything changes.

Impressed
First of all, I like to say that the sheath is worth the price that you pay second of all I wanted to buy a small knife to carry when I am go on hiking trips and walk my dog in the evenings something that was fixed blade and I had looked at the bench made and it was just way too expensive and Iโm pretty sure this is the same quality as a bench made it comes razor-sharp and appears to hold an edge very well iโm about to buy my second one as a back up this is really good quality knife. You could buy 20 of these for the price you could buy one bench made.

Amazing budget EDC fixed blade.
Very impressed with this knife right out of the box, ergonomic are amazing and it melts into your hand in multiple grip positions. Sheath is very well done and worth the price of knife alone. Only question will be to see how the DC53 steel holds up. Came decently sharp out of box and honed up to be shaving sharp. All in all for sub $30 you canโt go wrong with this nice little fixie! Iโd recommend this to the KnifeFam! Should be a solid budget work knife capable of many daily tasks.
