Sabichi Essential Egg Poacher with Glass Lid, stainless steel, Silver, 20 x 45 x 14 cm

It cooks the eggs very well, the only warning I would issue is that the handle is not heat resistant. There is a warning attached to it by sellotape, but small writing not easy to read - I have sight difficulties - and could easily be missed. Be careful to use oven gloves!

I have used the poacher a couple of times now, first time I rubbed a little butter in each cup, eggs slide out beautifully, second time forgot to rub butter in, came out, but not so easy. Put hot water in and steamed for 5mins, perfect !! I used large eggs, I would reduce cooking time if I used smaller eggs. Happy with purchase.

I have tried poaching eggs in a pan with all the stirring water tricks. i have tried poaching rings. I have tried adding a little vinegar. I have tried the microwave methods but they alway come out ragged and messy. This poacher gives nice neat poached aggs and I recommend it. All metal (except the glass lid) with non-stick egg holders. If you like your eggs poached you need one of these.

This is exactly what I wanted. The clear lid means you can see exactly when the eggs are ready without getting scalded taking the lid off. The item is easy to clean and great for my ceramic hob. Eggs came out beautiful and soft, perfectly cooked. Cooks four eggs in about 4 mins from when water boils. Nice and healthy better than cleaning a greasy frying pan.

Poor handle design means it gets too hot and burns your hand.... Not good!

Just OK, not as heavy duty as I'd hoped, handle is a bit flimsy, cups had some scratches where the not stick was then missing, but not really affected the eggs slipping out nicely.
