What more can you expect
Well, I've had this fan for 9 months (I don't like to speak too soon about things - after all, they may be perfect for the first couple of weeks) - and in truth, this is a very quiet fan (almost completely silent).Given that we bought this fan for a media centre (built from an old SG3100UK), which is tucked out of site behind a sofa - there is no audible sound at all! Especially when you are actually playing any audio through the system. Our cats eating biscuits at the other end of the flat make more noise!The fan is also easy to clean - and seems to attract a lot less dust than the other fans in the machine - and on that note, I'm off to buy the next size up to replace the original case fan. The current case fan was remounted using the silicon-rubber noise limiting mountings that came with this fan and made that a lot quieter - but after nearly seven years, time to replace.

Great but not PWM and not that silent
If you're after quiet 80mm fans - but also need them to move some air also - then these seem to be a good compromise.They are quieter than other fans but then again they spin slower so to check make sure you reduce the duty-cycle of the other fans to match.They are not PWM (neither they nor the 800 series). I made this mistake you want the 80P.The neon green can look out of place in some builds; it's somewhat interesting but I'd rather either have LED fans or not-visible fans, i.e. matching the case (black/grey for black case, white for white case, etc.). Whisper quiet
I wanted a quiet fan to replace one that made an annoying whine at anything other than really low speeds, and this proved exceptionally quiet for an 80mm fan, even at full tilt. The specs suggest it shifts more air than the old fan too, which is a great bonus! Good value for money, and I suspect I'll buy from this brand again as a result.

Quiet as a mouse
Replaced my default shuttle PC fan with this to cut down the noise of my media centre.Worked a treat. While not totally silent it's almost unnoticeable now.
