Why did I not buy this tool sooner? This is a great value tool that does exactly what its supposed to and does it very well. Simply crimp the connectors and use a heat gun to seal everything tightly. Very easy to use and provides a better and more secure crimp compared to using other tools.

Great crimper I paired with an assortment of heat shrink connectors. I had problems with crimp failures from a similar one from a tool store, but this one works great and the jaws positively crimp standard heat shrink connectors.

I've only done a few crimps, but wow. These things make crimping so much easier than using the ones on my wire strippers. It's also a feels like a more durable & stronger crimp. It's basically a flat block making the connection, so you get one crimp to cover a wider area, making a crimp that looks nice. I didn't have to do any adjustments on my pair. They did a great job on the default setting. However, it looks like adjustments could be troublesome since the wheel is too close to the handle. It allmost looks like you will need to cut a bit of the handle away to make it work. Speaking of the handle, it is a thick material, easy to grip, and mostly comfortable. The ratchet function works well. But if you get the handles too close together, you're not getting your finger on the release switch to open them back up. I was able to get a screw driver in there. If you can't do this, you have to continue squeezing the handle and finish the crimp, regardless of whether it's the crimp you want. Not sure if the release is how others are designed, but seems like the release should sit a bit further back. Overall, at $15 and the minimal amount of crimping I do, I'm satisfied with these. If I did a lot of crimping, I might look for a better pair. If you're a weekend warrior, you should be satisfied.

This worked flawlessly for my automotive application, when adding heat-shrink, crimp on terminal ends for a permanent connection for a battery trickle charger/maintainer. Glad I didn't bother with something more expensive.
