Cypressa Stuffed Vineleaves 280 g (Pack of 6)

Made a Lebanese meal for friends. Dolmades for starter, a Lebanese chicken dish with three different sides for mains and Pistachio and rosewater cheesecake to finish.Very full tummies but very satisfied.

We have just returned from Santorini (for the fifteenth time) where we ate a fair few stuffed vine leaves so we have some idea of what they should be like. These vine leaves are well up to local Greek standards (they originate in Cyprus); the leaves are of a pleasant texture and the rice and herb filling well cooked and full of flavour. Recommended.

These dolmas/stuffed vine leaves were average at best in taste. The leaves were old and rough, possessing this sandy like texture. The rice inside was also tasteless and mushy, the spices and oils were all fairly bland. It is good value for money and the packaging is good, so worth purchasing if you don't mind it's lack of flavour over other tinned brands.

Ate them cold, found the flavour a bit bland, and the vine leaves a little tough.

The taste is good .ideal for snacks remain firm when opened tin..could do a little less vine leaf .but otherwise nice product.

These are lovely,surprisingly filling and very moreish indeed,not at all greasy/oily either,simply superb.But wait,there's more....You get a whole EIGHT stuffed vineleaves in each tin too,which makes this even better,a truly delicious,serious bargain indeed,and you can eat them hot or cold,either as a quick snack or as an accompaniment to other tasty,savoury meals,so a Win/Win on every level,really :)

Very tasty indeed, I just love stuffed vine leaves, not the best I have eaten but all the same very nice.
