Was the size that I needed. The cross bars that hold the center circles in place, cut into the dough too. Which is fine for 1/4 inch cookie dough, but not anything taller. They seem sturdy, they cut well. So just depends hos thick you are planning to make your dough substances ( i was cutting cake)
