Waiting to see them sprout
The seeds arrived quickly and very well packaged. I put them in a bowl of water and I'm watching them daily to see them sprout.- it is only been three days now, and although they look a little fatter than when I put them in the water so far, there are no sprouts. Stay tuned for further developments.

Unbelevable Good Quality
I am so happy with the i am going to get more. Mine germinated in 2 days in water outside in Florida. In 3 days, I moved them from a small 1/2 gallon plastic container to my half-barrel pond, and they are at the surface in 5 days. Just nuts they are such high quality. Don't know my colors yet, but can follow up later.

Not what it seems to be
Out of 16 seed pods, only half sprouted, and then only two survived. A waste of time and money. Disappointed.

give them time, manage expectations, grow in SUN
There were a couple of extra seeds, but I was satisfied with germination rate of the ones I have germinated so far. It has been about a week, I think. I noticed that one is very late in sprouting, compared to the others. I liked that the seeds were opened at the end, but it seems like it may affect viability of stored seeds. I tried this before and the plants died. I kept them in water on a window sill after there were leaves. This time, I will pot them up in heavy clay soil--barely pressing into the surface of the soil, and will fill the pot (no drainage holes) with water, and I will add "pond tablet" fertilizer, as directed I have seen several youtube videos. I have seen that a spoonful of balanced (like 10-10-10 fertilizer can be folded up in paper to make a "sachet" that will release the fertilizer over time. I may try that and compare to the pond tablets. I do not expect these to bloom this year, but I do expect them to provide lots of nasturtium-type leaves this summer in a patio pond. I recommend that anyone purchasing these seeds look to youtube and watch videos to learn about planting and care. If anyone got flowers in the first season, I would be amazed. These seeds are fascinating to watch develop. I do recommend changing g the water daily until they are planted in soil. update--one month--i have potted them in clay soil and put outside in small pond. Doing great. Not expecting flowers.

Bonsai Bowl Lotus Seeds turn into beautiful flowers or do they?
I gave it a 50/50 Star rating because I am not done with them yet! I felt like the directions sucked especially when it is printed so tiny, who can read that? I blew it up to make it readable and all it did was blur it, so I used my 72 years of experience to see if I could make the impossible possible and grow these "Bonsai Bowl Lotus Seeds" turn into beautiful flowers like they show! After reading many reviews and no one having any luck at growing these things, I knew it would be a challenge to pull this off, even for a person who has a green-thumb, like me! :) The proof is in the attached pictures. I still don't have any flowers, "yet" but I do have high hopes they will come in time. I will respond back, with pictures, when and IF they produce actual flowers. First you must think how these flowers are growing and in what condition. Not in a bowl on your table that's for sure! But they are grown in a pond, outside, in a warm climate! Well I don't live where it is warm 12 months out of the year, so I decided to try and reproduce the "pond" inside my home without it actually being a pond, which meant, NEVER changing the water, (if you had an actual pond outside "which I don't", you don't change your pond water outside do you? I assume you don't!) So I choose to crack the hard shell with a pair of pliers and pull the shell off in places, and I dropped 4 seeds into 2 Glass Bowls of water, because I bought the others flowers as well, and wanted to keep them apart. (I added (5) 16.9 fl. oz. of City Tap Water, to each bowl. So in the 1st set of pictures you will see how the seeds discolored the water. (Don't change the water when it gets really cloudy, like so many have done before, instead leave it alone and set it up in a sunny window location and wait.) More to come if Amazon lets me........
