Q: Weeds grow in my sidewalk joints, which are about 1/4-1/3" wide (but I don't THINK I need to fill the entire joint to prevent weeds). RIGHT PRODUCT?

It will fill crack. Good product but weeds can grow anywhere. Put weed killer in crack then seal it. That is what I do. Have a good one.

Q: what kind of torch needed?

Just a simple propane torch will do just fine. Home Depot has one for 14.94. The model # is 334458n and the store skew # is 801816. It really is kind of fun to do. Good luck ----peter.
