Q: Is this deks olje d2? I have started a bench with deks olje d2 but the design on this tin is different to the last. Thank you

The tins do seem to have changed, yes, but presumably the D1 & D2 designations haven't. Used all mine so can't check the tin. D1 needs several coats to saturate the wood, D2 is the top finish which gives a semi varnish effect. Gone over to Le Tonkinois now, which gives a nicer finish.

Q: Does this protect from UV light

Hi .. I have looked everywhere this is off the Owatrol website "Deks Olje D1 is suitable for use on hardwood and softwood and has been specially developed for dense, oily and difficult to impregnate woods. You can use Deks Olje D1 on both horizontal and vertical surfaces and it provides protection against humidity and its effects as well as against damage from UV rays."
