Quality Construction
Very nice fan. Heavy duty base, all metal construction not cheap plastic. Strong motor produces good breeze without being too loud. Perfect for our covered deck GFCI protection too. Very happy with it

Well worth it!
Fantastic greenhouse solution. Iโve tried everything including burlap shading that was only somewhat effective. This fan mister assembles easily, is very sturdy and consistently lowers the temp by 10-15 degrees. Iโm able to keep the greenhouse in the 80s instead of hitting 100!

Excellent outdoor fan - highly recommended.
Fan is easy to assemble (took less than 5 minutes) and very well constructed. Heavy base makes it very stable. All metal fan housing and fan blades. Misting function is surprisingly effective even in Nashville heat and humidity. It has stayed in place through two whopper thunderstorms and works like a charm. The GFI adapter is very sensitive and makes the fan safe to use. It tripped during one of the thunderstorms, which makes me confident of the applianceโs outdoor safety. I bought the 18 inch, oscillating model and it covers the entire courtyard/patio. Itโs nice looking, too!

works well
Great fan for outdoors. Heavy to assemble but with patience it is worth it.

Great fan quality and customer service
I feel this fan and customer service needs to be commended. My fan arrived un-damaged but mister system failed after only a few days. I called customer service to get info on replacement nozzles system . Representative could not give me a link for new nozzles but instead sent out a new complete fan. This level of service is rare today. The fan itself is built like a tank. All metal construction and heavy so it should stand up to considerable wind that we receive here in Fort Worth Texas without blowing over. Mist is fine and spread evenly with the oscillating motion. We now have our patio back in this incessant heat of this summer. I highly recommend Built Hard 18 inch misting fan.

The fan exceeded my expectations.
Sturdy, strong enough flow to keep us cool outdoors on a July Florida afternoon. The mister is a nice bonus but often is a little to close to use without getting damp. Still welcome when the temperatures are breaking records and you have to work outside. It is a great value, the 4 speeds go from a gentle steady breeze to a gusty, paper turning gale. The oscillating feature helps keep the mosquitos away. The misting feature keeps us cool and give the fan something to evaporate. I highly recommend it based on the first week of use. Time will tell if it is really Bilt-Tough.

Not so great
Just received this and started using it, but I'm not pleased with the build quality considering how expensive it is. If your name is "Bilt Hard", your products should reflect that. This uses a single bolt to attach the base to the pole instead of a 3 point mount. It's not straight from the get go. Leans a bit. The nozzle size is good; it cools the air without soaking me like other misting fans, as long as I have it on ocsillate. If I didn't, I'd probably get quite wet. It drips a LOT. I suspect it's because the nozzles are at the edge of the fan cage instead mid-center like others. The other thing that's odd is it uses an old-school pull chain to turn it on/off. The vertical angle adjustment is quite limited; it would've been nice to point it higher into the air. The set screw to hold the vertical is just bad design, it slips unless you really crank it down and I expect it will probably crack and break sooner than it should. Overall this thing is cheaply built. I don't expect it to last more than one or two seasons and my season is only about 4 months long. Finally, the fan motor is a bit loud and as water accumulates on the fan guard, it drips down onto the spinning blades, making this soft popping noise.

Very well made
I received this fan today. It was so easy to put together. When I turned it on, I couldnโt believe how much better it was than my old fan. With five misting nozzles, it was great! The mist comes out very fine. I would highly recommend this fan. I love that it is metal and I will be able to take it apart and clean the blades periodically.
