Looks nice. Wife likes it but finds that it is difficult to see 2nd hand.

For the price, this clock is disappointing. As shown in the side view, the clock does not have a real frame. The so-called wood it's made of seems like very light particle board or maybe wood-toned cardboard. Contrary to my reasonable expectation based on the reference to France, the word partially covered by the hour hand is NOT "Champs." So instead of saying "Champs Elysees," it actually says "Chrips Elysees." Rather than pay postage to return it, I will just wait until it fizzles out and then get a more substantial replacement.

Hubby hates a ticking clock. I can't read most without my glasses on. But it says something lame on the front like "15th Century." Like the French would put something that inane on the front of the clock. Oh, well, for the price, I don't care. It does the job.

Perfect gift for my guy who just returned from a trip to Paris. It really is silent, and the mechanism in the back looks very sophisticated. He is especially bothered by ticking and was thrilled with this clock!

I didn't know silent clocks existed. I've always loved the look of clocks like this but hated the ticking so much. I cannot sleep in a room with a ticking clock. This one is perfect. Completely quiet.

Great looking clock! This clock is for my rather large master bedroom. Extremely easy to see and read. Well-packaged to protect from possible shipping damage.

This is my second clock like this as my first stopped working after a few years. I loved the colors and for the price, I quickly replaced it when it stopped working.
