Some nice drill bits, I was drilling bolts out of a cast iron motor block that sheared off from the starter. These got the job done after ruining about 30 other bits.

I had tried to drill through the angle iron on my trailer with my regular metal bits and had no luck. Got these and they drilled through like nobody’s business. I would highly recommend these for metal drilling.

I bought these to drill four 1/4" holes in a tight space with a 90 degree drill adapter. It did the job nicely. I broke a cheaper, lower quality bit before ordering these. It got caught in the hard steel and snapped. Unfortunately I had the same issue with the 1/4" bit in this set, but it only bent slightly. Now it wobbles a little, but still works. I just wish I could buy the 1/4" bit by itself again so I don't have a wobbling bit.

I have been trying to install a water filtration system under my sink. I tried every drill bit I have to get through the stainless steel to no avail. These bits cut through like butter! I like the "stubby" because you can put more pressure on the small ones, but I didn't even need to, they cut through the sink WAY easier than any of my old bits.

I don't have but one tough project that these worked on, but the bit's worked!!! Held up drilling out about 30 - 1/8" pop rivet heads with steel shanks stuck in them that were challenging. 4 stars because made in CHINA and I like USA made products best for reasons even other than better quality materials, fit & finish. I may update review after I have to drill some stainless steel hex screws or the like. That will be real test for Cobalt. Use proper drill bit speed for Cobalt with slower speed and steady pressure. Watch binding and being "off angle" drilling. Cobalt is brittle and not for soft materials like wood, plastics, and some softer metals.

Bought this kit to remove hardened exhaust bolts. Two of the bits snapped within minutes (drilling slowly, squarely, with minimum pressure, using cutting fluid). I was able to drill pilot holes using carbide bits from a different vendor, with no issues. The smaller bits in this set seem exceptionally brittle. The larger bits in this set refuse to cut anything at all, after slowly grinding away for several minutes and making zero progress I gave up on these and was able to cut through using cheap carbide jobber bits without issue. Nice packaging, but look elsewhere if you actually need to drill hardened steel.

They worked very well going through metal I used them too drill through a metal band that goes around a wine barrel

I bought these to use in my Unimat lathe. It let me use a 5/16" drill bit in a holder made for 1/4". It works well being shorter length for my use. Drills through brass easily.

Used when drilling through metal using a low power hand held drilling machine. Extends the usage range of small low power tools successfully. Would recommend this drill bit set
