Sharp and trimmed great!!
I am in my 80’s and wanted A trimmer to use around the foundation of my house and a small flower bed. I needed something lightweight that was easy to handle and did a good job. I didn’t want to give a review until I tried it. I’m not sure how long it will last but it seems like it’s well-made and it’s exactly what I need for the price compared to what I would have to pay to have a yard trimmed. It’s a tremendous, saving worthy investment. Would not hesitate to buy it again if I have to.

Life-changing garden tool!
I couldn’t wait to come into the house to write this review after my first use of the Work Pro battery powered shears! Before ordering, I had read all the reviews, but did not see much discussion about pruning spent perennial flowers. I have a large yard full of perennials that were beautiful a few weeks ago but are looking very sad and sloppy now.It did a tremendous job, allowing me to prune a large bed of balloon flowers ( Platycodon), shaping them individually to create a pleasing effect. It is very lightweight and allowed fairly precise cutting. It cut right through the thicker stems easily. I have the unit recharging now and plan to go out and prune another large bed of perennials. I am seriously considering purchasing another unit so I always have one charged and ready to go while I am using the other unit. This has to be one of THE BEST $40 purchases of my life, not to mention the hours of time saved, as it used to take me many more hours doing this pruning by hand!!!

A bit loud, but it works OK for a small trimmer
For quick trimming jobs this works well, and the charge lasts for about 15 minutes which is reasonable, but it has a couple of issues. First, it's a bit loud - not deafening, just annoying. Second, you have to press and hold the "interlock" button as well as the trigger button (I guess for safety), and this tends to tire out your hand if you are trimming continuously. For small trimming jobs it is good because it's lightweight and can get into tight areas. Charges fairly quickly, but only comes with a short charging cord and no charging adapter. That's not a big deal as most households these days have multiple charging adapters.

You can buy blades
The balance leaves something to be desired. It is top heavy which is tiring when using it for any period of time.I also own this set in Scotts brand— which is well balanced and I like. But you can’t replace the blades at a reasonable price. You might as well buy a new set… as cost of new blades is close to the same.work Pro has shorter blades and is top heavy— though it does the job—at least at the beginning while blade are sharp. I can also buy blades separately. It’s too new at this point to give an opinion about durability or battery life.I am a 78 year old woman who is 110 lbs. so weight is important. Both are light weight and easy enough to use. Scott version does not always stay in the safety position — so you need to be careful when blades are in place. Both do the job—though I prefer the feel of the Scott’s version. I also like the longer blades on Scott. But they don’t do the job easily when they get dull. i bought the work pro version of this set, because I can replace the blades easily when the old grow dull from use. Thus far Ihave not had a problem attaching or detaching any blades. At this point I am keeping both sets and plan on using both — each for different tasks., The grass shears I am using the work pro— because of sharpness— and ease of cutting grass. I like the Scott version for trimming bushes as it has a longer hedge blade.I also have a Saker mini chain saw which I love! I can cut through small trees and trim off small branches with ease with it.All of the tools are light and easy to use as an old senior. I would say the Saker mini chain saw is the most durable and tackles the larger trim jobs with total ease.I prefer the balance and feel of the Scott grass shears / hedge trimmer — but the in ability of buying replacement blades at a reasonable price makes it less worth buying. You’d be better off going with a higher price point with your original purchase,

Buy two!
This tool is very easy to use and effective. I was quickly able to clean up edges, grass in difficult to reach spots, and trimming of hedges. The battery lasts long and recharges in a hour or two. I liked it so much I brought it over and trimmed my daughter's house. She liked it so much I ended up giving it to her and ordered another for myself! My only issue is that operating the safety release and trigger are tiring over time. Perhaps it would be better to put weaker return springs to relieve stress on the hands.

Decent trimmer
The only issue with this tool is the girth of the branch you want to trim. Found that in the larger bush limbs I have to hold the tool in place longer. BUT for the money it is worth it! Battery lasted three 3 shrubs and a bush with battery life remaining! Works well, easy to handle, fits in your hand comfortably!
