Works well
Brought this to help with the mosquitoes as we have a fish pond that attracts them to come inside, it works very well and is loud when it does its job. Many people have complained the lead is quite short and no on/of switch, there are ways round this problem, I personally extended the lead cutting it and putting in an inline switch with longer cable, but only attempt this if you are qualified and know what you are doing as this product must be earthed.

Good Fly Zapper
Hello All,I wondered like you would, if this fly zapper would really work on fly's since it stated it was mainly for Mosquitoes?Well, I had it for awhile now and although the UK hot weather has vanished and the amount of fly's & Mosquitoes has dropped big time, I can say it does at least attract and kill Mosquitoes and small fly's.Not had the big blue bottles or other big house fly's to know if they would be zapped yet?It is well made and sturdy and I like the fact it has UV LED's instead of the pricey tubes ( the tubes always burn out fast ) I hoping it will last the huge amount of time it said it can?The only downside I see is, the system is sealed so you can't replace the LED's like you can with the tubes.I would say for the money get it if you need one. Just on electric saving alone it be worth it.

Not the magic bullet I was expecting, but does serve a purpose
After looking around and reading websites, I decided to buy an electric fly killer.I have since found that flies dont all fly towards this (and from additional reading, other fly killers), many mock me by resting on the outer bar or base of the unit. That said, It does still get some.Am I disappointed that it didnt kill every fly withing an hour of turning on, yes.Am I disappointed overall all, no and I would buy another know that I know what I know

Waste of money
I have loads of flies in the downstairs of my house I’ve tried this in loads of different locations around the house and even outside the door and it’s only killed a couple of flies. . . . I’ve turnt the lights off and used it in the dark and it just doesn’t attract flies 🤷♀️ . . . I’ve got fly paper and that works ALOT better. And cheaper.

Snap, crackle & pop!
I bought this item as I was fed up with the tiny fruit flies that seemed to enjoy flying into my face. I'd tried various things, including cleaning surfaces, especially round & including my bin but this didn't determine the pesky little buggers. My kitchen is small so thought I'd buy a reasonable sized one at a reasonable price. It arrived, basically you just plug it in & away you go. I lit mine up straight away, obviously being a man I failed to read the instruction leaflet, which would have explained that the evening & night is the best time to have the appliance on.Well it was on all afternoon with no 'hits' but come evening I thought John Wick was in my kitchen taking down the bad guys. There were multiple 'hits' including not just the little buggers but moths were also attracted however they needed more than one jolt, maybe 2 or 3. I don't know if they liked a bolt of electricity or just couldn't stop themselves, they just kept trying to land on the pole! In the mornings I have to clear up multiple dead bodies & separately their wings, as the bolt appears to blow the moths wings off. What I failed to realised was that having my kitchen window wide open all the time, I live on the second floor, that moths & flying bugs were attracted to the light as they passed, hence the nightly 'war zone' noises coming from the kitchen. So what have I learned, it works as I haven't been bothered by the fruit flies, I need to close my kitchen window & to read the instructions. This uses little electricity & needs the bodies removed from the base at regular intervals dependant on the number of wingless corpses there are.

Product Review
Although it works well enough, if you get a bigger fly land on it, it tends to stick to it and it then keeps zapping and making a noise, so you have to unplug it and clear it off. Not nice to clean out but, what can you expect really.....

Does what it's supposed to.
Short and sweet, THIS WORKS 100% but only after dark. Got mine on a smart plug to follow hours of darkness. now waiting for Amazon to restock so I can purchase a second unit. NUFF SAID.

TX mosquitoes and gnats don't have a chance!
UPDATE: After observing these at work for 3 nights now, we bought 2 more. I don't know how big the flies are outside of TX, but we've got some big ones here. Yet these zappers are knocking the stuffing out of flies, millers, mosquitoes and gnats. Some larger moths have managed to squeeze between the bars, and they go up in smoke, literally. The manufacturer recommends cleaning out the tray weekly. However, I checked the tray of the zapper in the chicken pen after 2 nights, and it was already full of crispies. These zappers are quite effective.ORIGINAL: We are inundated with mosquitoes and gnats this year in North Texas due to all the rain we've had in the last couple of months. Based on other TX reviewers, I bought two of these zappers (two separate purchases because there was a limit of one per purchase) which were delivered today. I hung one in the chicken pen about 7' off the ground and placed the other on a low table in a gazebo. Now that the sun has gone down, they both are constantly snapping. It is music to our ears! The electrified grid is comprised of strips of metal, not wire filament. The snapping is quite loud, and I've yet to hear any bug hanging on and just sizzling. The external grid is small enough that I don't think June bugs, catricala moths and the like will be able to get to the electrified grid and cause a small fire. These zappers are just downright awesome. It sounds like a little war is being waged between two camps in the backyard. I love to hear those bloodsuckers die.
