I only picked these brushes up today, so I'm reviewing their appearance, not performance. They are neatly packaged on a card stock backing. No loose parts or weird odors. The handle is wood and the bristles are nylon, shaded to look like animal hair. The handles are regular length. They're numbered on the handle. You get 1/2 dozen round brushes with an extremely small, fine point, then about 1/2 dozen flat brushes and a fan brush, then an assortment of long skinny brushes for looser work. I think if you get these you'll only be limited by the steadiness of your hand and eye because these look like they can handle the most finicky task. These would be a suitable gift for the miniaturist in your life. Hope this info is helpful!

This is a lovely little set I use this not only for watercolor on heavy stock I use this for the Little Rock painting that I do and for painting and stenciling on my little clay pots the decorations and putting the name and date on plants for outdoors and indoors....

These are pretty good and can eve be used for make up application (eyeliner). Worth the money they cost. They are very pretty and look pretty stable
