Never tried one before and was really surprised how easy it is to make good mashed potato without lumps. One bit of advice I would give is that once you have used it pop it in a bowl of water like a manual masher so that the potato doesn't dry on it and that way it is really easy to clean. Really pleased with this device.

Hi, so this ricer is good, the quality of the material is very sturdy and it's pretty good for the price. The grip is good and it makes mashing simple. However, it lost one star due to one point, the individual plates that the veg, potatoes etc go through gets stuck to the plunger plate meaning you are constantly having to peel it off and place it back in the bottom of the tool. This obviously affects the performance of the ricer as it makes a simple job a little longer. If I had a recommendation, it would be the ability to lock the bottom plate in place somehow. But that would need to come from the manufacturing process. I still like the product, I just find it inconvenient peeling it from the top plate with tatties stuck in-between.

Light weight and simple to use with really good results. Makes light and fluffy potato mash for use on cottage / shepherds pie for instance. Would be lovely for use in meals for small children or the elderly.

The ricer does work very well, I've used it to make mash a fair bit and the final product is great. The only issue with it is that due to the interchangable plates they get stuck to the plunger every single time requiring you to manually pry it off then reset it at the bottom before refilling it with more potato. It can get a little frustrating and time consuming. It isn't the worst thing in the world but it is far from convenient.

Good design, three separate different size disc for ease to get your preferred smoothness. Easy to use and clean. Great for lots of different veggies and creates very smooth texture. Comfortable in hand and sturdy.

Easy to use and produces smooth mash. However, the potato gets everywhere making it a messy tool to wash afterwards. BUT...the best mash potato I've made myself in years (I have Arthritis) so I still think it was worth buying.

Compré este Prensa Patatas Pasapurés porque estaba cansada de los resultados grumosos que obtenía con mi machacador manual anterior. ¡Debo decir que esta herramienta ha superado todas mis expectativas! La verdadera maravilla son los 3 discos de repuesto. Utilicé el disco fino para el puré de patatas y quedó suave como la seda, sin un solo grumo, ¡igual que el de un restaurante! El disco mediano es excelente para salsas de tomate o verduras más rústicas. A diferencia de otros modelos con esquinas difíciles de alcanzar, esta prensa se desmonta fácilmente y es apta para lavavajillas. Los restos de comida se quitan sin dificultad. o he probado para la Comida para Bebé (manzana y pera cocida) y obtengo una papilla finísima en segundos. También lo he usado para Exprimir Limones para hacer limonada y funciona de maravilla.
