I was looking for a flocculant for this years recommissioning of the pool and saw this. Decided to try as, although reviews were a little mixed, it was very simple and easier than mixing chemicals. After setting up the pool and initial cleaning the water was a little cloudy. I put one cartridge in the skimmer and left it for a week (the pump runs twice a day on a timer). It had coagulated the remaining dirt on the bottom making it easy to 'hoover' out and leaving the water sparkly. I left the cartridge in the skimmer and it was still working a week later ready for another 'hoover'. Water is still sparking and I have 7 cartridges left to use through the season. Worked well for me.
