Great Quality door camera that JUST WORKS!
I wanted to use this for a couple months before leaving a review. Actually, I very rarely if ever leave any reviews, but I am so pleased with this door camera that I must inform other Amazonians. It arrived all nicely packaged, as expected. The setup was a doddle - you attach a POE cable into it and it works straight out. When I am indoors, I get a gentle sound on my phone to tell me someone is at the door, or if they ring, my phone rings. If I am driving, my car sound opens up and I talk to the visitor while driving (hadsfree of course!! :). As I respond, the response is heard outside immediately. It's got a few pre-recorded messages ("you've knocked at the wrong door" !! :). You can set the size of moving object at the front door to trigger the alerts hence ignoring cats and birds. Picture from the camera is very clear, transferred in real life. Bandwith used is about 200-400kB/s (according to camera). I slotted a 32GB micro SD into it and it records events, overwriting the oldest ones. Playback is available immediately; plays well, continuous stream, with sound, just perfect. AND IT IS NOT FORCING ME TO SUBSCRIBE, OR HAVE ANY "SMART" APPLICATIONS OR ANY OTHER MILKING "APPS". Just a door camera working for me, controlled only by me, on my LAN. PERFECT!! One single thing to bear in mind is, your POE switch must be a powerful one. My Netgear GS108PE couldn't power this up. Another one I bought, a GS305EPP, provided enough juice for this to fire up and remain fired and stable for the last 3+ months. BTW the GS3055EPP is powering this camera simultanously with Ubiqiti U6 Pro WiFi dish; both are stable and happy. Also, I connected this through a 16+ years old Cat5 cable (it was buried in the internal walls and connecting front entrance wall to my utility room some 7 meters away).

High quality and works with Synology software
The image quality of this is nothing short of amazing. Showed it to my neighbour who just bought a Ring Doorbell and they thought this one was a lot better. There isn't a lot of scope for zooming in before things get pixelated but that's really not what a doorbell camera is for. If you want that, buy a 4K security camera. The night vision is particularly good and only uses a single red LED. I have another ReoLink camera and that has about 6 LEDs which really isn't very discrete, but this single LED is fine. I bought the PoE version of this doorbell because I really didn't want to mess about with batteries, or worry about WiFi connections and the like. I knew it would be a challenge getting the network cable there but I figured once it was done, it was done and if I wanted to swap it out for a different camera later I could. I'm very glad I went this way. Before I went to all the effort of the install I set the doorbell up just sitting on a table in the hall and it all worked really well. Setup was dead simple using the Reolink app even though I don't intend to use it long term. The chime is loud enough to wake the dead which was one of my concerns as I'm a bit of a night owl so it's not at all uncommon for the existing doorbell to wake me up. This one will easily do that, it's just a shame that it takes our last plug socket in the hall, but it was that or batteries. I put it off for about a week or more but eventually I tackled the install. It took me about 3.5 hours but 90% of that was me getting the network cable to the door. I had to go from my network switch which is under the stairs, drill through the external wall into the garage, along the wall in the garage, drill through the cladding in the front of the garage, drill through into the porch, hide it all up inside the window sill and eventually out to where the doorbell mounts on the doorframe. The cable is all nicely hidden except for one small run up the outside porch wall. The actuall doorbell install couldn't be simpler and took about 10 minutes! I particularly like that there's no monthly sub for this doorbell which honestly for what they off on those that charge this I think is just a money grab. I plug it into my network and use the software on my Synology NAS. It just works. Flawless.

Upgraded to add more chimes
Unhelpful product comparisons: I'm only reducing 1 star just because of how long I had to search and research to understand all the difference between the various new doorbell cameras and the old one. I should be able to learn everything I want to know on the product page or on the company site. The more time spent on other sites looking things up, the more chance I could end up buying something else. In general I knew the difference but there weren't specifics about the chimes and what each camera's limitations are like why does the colour of the camera have to dictate the field of view? (Doesn't that help a knowledgeable naughty person know the limitations of a camera from a distance just by its colour?) You have the POE doorbell camera, the wired one and the battery powered one. But did you know that the POE one can be powered via wires as well? Did you know that the black POE gives you a wide field of view and the white one flips that 90 degrees and allows you to see more of the ground and the sky, if you want to keep a constant recording on your parcel delivery at the doorstep. So the white one is better if your doorway is kind of hidden because there is no point in having a wide field of view. Background: Any way, I had a version 1 POE doorbell camera and wanted to add an additional chime that wasn't an Alexa or 3rd party device. Version 1's can only work with the chime that came paired with them apparently. Thinking about it now, I probably should have physically checked that for myself before spending more money. Who knows what unannounced software updates were made. The V1 system worked fine with no issues but the added chime would be a very helpful addition long term, so I went and upgraded. Now I can have up to 5 chimes. Installation: This device and the old one more or less looks the same, but this one seems a bit more refined, slim and smoother. Installation takes seconds because I was able to just connect it to the backplate from the previous model and as someone with an NVR system and full cameras, the system pick up on the addition of the POE doorbell camera. However, the software on windows and the app lets down the whole process. For me, it found the new camera but won't let me see the footage unless I got deep in to the settings. The space that the old camera held remains and can't be deleted. I ended up resolving this nuisance but I couldn't possibly tell you what specifically worked. I think I logged out of the whole system on the app and logged back in again, but this was after many settings change and deletion attempts and attempts at software updates for the mobile and windows software. As of right now, everything is working fine and it has given me a chance to look at some new settings and really increase the quality of footage that the whole system takes. I would easily recommend this over any subscription based ones depending on the persons specific requirements. Overall, I am still happy with Reolink and the ease of access and freedom from subscriptions that it provides me, but I feel that it just needs refining and some bug removal.

Better than a lot of others, price and quality is good, I recommend it
After buying 2 others that failed quickly, I decided to buy this as I have a Reolink NVR system already. I was put off a bit due to having to run a cat cable 20M upstairs and through the floorspace to the rear of the house, this meant a further purchase of the cable. Anyway bought everything and spent 3 hours running the cable and when I first booted it up I was very impressed by the quality especially at night, it is quick to respond but is a little slow to send notifications to my phone (might be my router settings). The chime is plenty loud enough. Just to clear everything this is the POE version, Detection is quick and reliable (depending on your setup), viewing angle is a little bit fisheye but not as bad as previous cameras and quality is very good, compared to the others I bought the price is very reasonable. The picture has been cropped for privacy reasons. Incidentally I ran a cat5A cable without any issues.

Excellent product held back by poor design choices
Having already installed a Reolink PoE CCTV setup, buying this was a no-brainer. The camera itself works very well, and installation via PoE Cat6 ethernet is straightforward. That said, the included cable is only around 1 metre long, so unless your NVR is very close by, you will almost certainly need to buy a longer cable, as I did. I also think 4K quality would have been a welcome improvement. This could easily have been a 5-star product if a little more thought had gone into the physical design. Like other reviewers, I found that the casing did not fit flush, leaving noticeable gaps. More concerning, no matter how securely you fix the backplate to the wall, it feels as though a mischievous vandal or would-be thief could simply pull away the front cover and leave you without a camera. A simple retaining screw would have solved this. Because I mounted mine to masonry, even with the provided plate a flush fit was impossible, and the fixing screws remain visible from above, which makes me suspect they may rust fairly quickly. My biggest criticism, however, is the size of the hole Reolink seem to expect you to drill into your home. It is absurdly large, significant enough for a big coin to fit through. I chose to drill a more sensible cable-sized hole and fit my own RJ45 plug instead, but because of the angle of the internal coupling it became obvious that Reolink really do expect you to make the oversized hole. To avoid putting too much stress on the cable, I ended up having to chisel away part of the brickwork just to get a proper fit. So yes, the camera works well, day or night, though not great quality. The doorbell function is terrific, though the choice of chimes is limited. Hooked to an NVR, hours of recording are available, though an internal memory card is a useful alternative. Answering your door to callers via your phone is definitely possible through the app, and is a great feature that adds security and convenience. If you already have a Reolink CCTV setup, this is still a worthwhile addition and, in my view, better than the ubiquitous Ring system. But for this to be a true 5-star product, Reolink need to put more thought into the fit, security and ease of installation.

Great PoE video doorbell
This accompanies my two other Reolink PoE outdoor video cameras. It's a simple setup connecting to my switch, straight forward instructions and the quality looks good. I have powered from the ethernet cable only and there is a good view of my front and a large area in front. It indicates on the app when there is a vehicle or person and just adds that bit more security to delivery drivers and we can ignore those cold callers. The interior doorbell is loud enough too. Connecting up to my NAS, no need for cloud storage subscriptions and can see all three camera views at once on my mobile or PC. First class product for the price

Excellent doorbell
Bought to replace a Doorbird D101 which had door entry and an API. (but had very poor image quality and a slow app) Easy to fit, POE, (power over ethernet) local storage, ONVIF support so works with NAS. Synology surveillance station, recognises it and supports bell push events etc. so can be used with actions etc. (Set book mark and snapshot other cameras when doorbell is pressed) Image quality, iOS and web App all work well, speaker is clear, although mic is only "auto" it would be nice to have some control over sensitivity as it does pick up wind noise a bit. iOS Apps, works well over wi-fi and 5G, not used it much on 4G, responds quickly, latency is okay, but is somewhat dependant on your connection. (icons a bit confusing at first) Generally very pleased with it, I don't miss the door entry as I didn't use it anyway and can get around the lack of API with Synology surveillance station. And no subscription, hurrah!

Excellent standalone video doorbell and works with Synology
This is an excellent product, especially for users who want to integrate with an open system such as Synology Surveillance Station. All the benefits of a proprietary product like Ring, but the added benefits of no cost recording on the NAS. Very smart detection capabilities both inbuilt Reolink app and Synology systems work together. Basic installation is very easy. Integration with Synology requires security settings using the Reolink desktop client to be unlocked for ONVIF interface. Then simple to add to Surveillance Station. Gemini will tell you how. Dropped one star because there is no way to adjust the recording volume from the very sensitive microphone.

Great video doorbell, software may not be the cleanest but it certainly works great.
Writing a short review from the experience of having used this device for around 6 months. For privacy reasons I will not be showing any photos of the picture quality in this review Chose this as a video doorbell because it did not require any cloud integration to work, record footage, and so forth. Camera is powered over PoE, but can also be powered over doorbell wiring (if you want to for some reason). Because it uses a wired network connection the connection is always stable and not affected by your wireless connection. Not having to replace batteries is also a great benefit. Granted, you must be in a place where you can route an Ethernet cable. The way the mounting hardware works the cable has to come through the wall right behind the doorbell and not from the top or bottom. However, if you are a bit handy or own a 3d-printer you could easily work around it if need be. I created a model on Printables that should allow you to guide the cable from the bottom. Image quality for it’s intended use is great, you can see a lot of detail, field of view easily allows you to see people approaching from the side and night vision also works great. I would say perfectly fit for purpose. The software is not the nicest, the app has a store page for other Reolink products / services. Which mostly seems like an ad to me. It is not always the easiest to navigate and I am unsure about how secure the infrastructure is. It does work well enough, push notifications work. And I have had no major issues with it. The biggest upside on the software side is that the camera can record locally to a Micro-sd card or to a file server on the network (have not tested the later) so no need to pay any additional monthly fees. If you set it to only record on person detection, even a small 64GB Micro-sd card should offer plenty of space. Person detection works quite well too. Included chime also works alright does what it should, has a few tunes to choose from, and it should integrate with other chimes too, but I have not tested that. Nor have I tested the home-assistant integration. Overall I would say the doorbell is great. Software could use a little polish, but besides that not much more to wish for.

Dobry produkt

Great doorbell
Easy installation. Probably not very theft proof though, but I think one of the consumer bells are. Highly customisable, lots of settings. Video is sharp. Detection works great but some false positives, eg when raining at night. This made me disable the forced notifications. The good thing is it never misses an oncoming visitor. This is way better than the Eufy (see review there) The app is great too. You can easily check back on the detected fragments per day. Live view loads fast. You can talk back to the visitor. Linked this to my Synology and for continuous recording. The PoE is great as this means only one utp cable is needed for power and reliable connectivity. Overall I recommend this product. I hope the detection software during night (IR) will be improved.
