WiFi connectivity
Yale don’t work without this kit. What a good thing to connect your lock with WiFi. Bridge is must to use with it.

Loses connection all the time
I got this to replace a bridge which is just over a year old and was constantly losing connection. Unfortunately, this brand new bridge is experiencing the same problems, regardless of the router it's connected to. Reading the reviews, it appears this is a fault Yale hasn't addressed. If you're after a smart lock, it's best you go for one from a brand that offers everything packaged into one device and has better reliability than Yale.

When you buy a 300 euro lock, you shouldn't have to spend more to make it wireless
I have two of these now, and the locks are amazing, this should be included with the lock though. My first one worked great for a few months but now randomly connects and disconnects from the wifi, I might need to reset it.

Does not work with Homekit
The bridge is not designed to connect to Homekit and so we cannot open the door using WiFi/Cellular connection with Apple Home app. It only works with Homekit over bluetooth connection which defeats the purpose of buing this item (for homekit users) It does work with Yale dedicated Access app even over WiFi/Cellular, but the description suggests it also works with Homekit which is misleading

De kluis zelf is prima. Maar de software vereist een account en werkt alleen zolang de servers van de fabrikant online zijn. Bovendien gebruiken ze een propriety protocol, dus niet te koppelen met andere software. Ik wil geen hardware met vendor lock-in. Waarom moeten zij weten wanneer ik mijn kluis open? Waarom vereist de app toegang tot mijn locatie? Wat een onbegrijpelijke keuze, zeker voor een kluis! En wat gebeurt er als ze falliet gaan en hun servers uit de lucht zijn? Gaat mijn kluis dan nog open?
