Great for Felt roofs.. gives them a new lease of life..
i used this for a shed roof that was fading with the sunlight and would have had to have a new felt roof as certain parts of the roof were getting close to repair. I have used this on the felt roof and patched it up and time will tell but at the moment it seems to be holding well the the inside the shed is dry. Its easy to apply and just be careful when you use scissors or a knife as the bitumen is a pain to get of the tools. I would actually cut it on a chopping board and make sure you use an old diy knife. The product is very pliable and can be easily cut to size and sticks on felt very well. This is a much easier way to tidy up an old felt roof and give it a few more years of life !

Seems to have done the job.
We had a leak on the lead flashing between the house and conservatory but could not find it, since using this (ran a full strip so it covered the lead and onto conservatory roof) fingers crossed it seems to have done the job. It was a cold day when I first put it on so I warmed the oven up, turned the heat off and put the tape in for ten minutes. Then on a warm day I used a hair dryer and firmly rubbed it down.

Great alternative to lead.
Just built a 'lean to' shed on the side of my house and decided to buy some of this to waterproof where the shed meets the brickwork. The instructions recommend using this warm rather than cold as its more pliable, so I left it out in the sun whilst a put the felt on my shed roof.It also recommends painting the wall first with emulsion rather than putting it directly onto the brick work, so I also did this with some left over grey paint I had.Putting it on was a doddle. Just remove the backing as you go and press it firmly into place, making sure you also press it into mortar between the bricks. It looks really good and already had a couple of people ask if its lead or not.

Excellent Product
Used this for sealing the joins of the roof felt on my shed. At first I wasn't sure it would stick to the sandy surface of the felt, but having tried using black bitumen felt adhesive on one part of the felt and making such a sticky mess, I thought I would give this a go. It really makes a nice neat finish and even after it has rained for a couple of days, it remains intact and protective. I could have done with another 2 metres on the roll though as this one is only 4 metres long, so will have to purchase another roll to finish the last bit. I am very happy with the finish as it blends in well with the grey of my roof felt.

Love it
Chuffed with this product. As others have said though - I’m not sure how easy it would be to use without the help of a heat gun.If you’ve got a heat gun already - go for it.If not - maybe do what I did and buy a heat gun at the same time as the flashing. A hairdryer would probably work in a pinchUpdate - 15/04/18 - just completed major roof repair with this. Gobsmacked at the performance. Absolutely delighted. 6 stars. Can’t recommend highly enough👍👍👍

Sticks like s**t
This stuff is really, really, sticky. Unfortunately my first attempt it stuck mostly to itself. I am sure there is a skilled way of using this stuff. I settled for cutting it in half across it's width which made it more manageable. Looks great though and I guess it will be stuck there long after the rest of the roof has collapsed.
