10 Ports Fast Ethernet PoE+ Switch 8 Ports POE|2 Ports Uplink
I have been looking to expand my old analogue CCTV system with IP cameras and needed a simple and easy way to power them, as some of the locations would be awkward to run a new mains socket and the YuanLey 10 port PoE+ switch is the perfect solution to my problem. The switch has a nice metal construction with 8 x 10/100 Mbps PoE ports and 2 x uplink ports on the front, along with the status indicator lights and a switch to extend the transmission range of the connected cameras from 100 meters to 250 meters. The rear of the unit is where the mains adapter is plugged in and also features a grounding point, so that the unit can be grounded inside your cabinet (if that is where you are placing it).Either side of the device are mounting points for the hanging brackets which can be screwed into place and the bracket can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. Each port outputs 52v at 1.5A and has a max output of 30W.The dimensions of the switch are approximately 20cm x 12cm x 4.5cm.***** In The Box *****1 x 8+2 Port PoE+ Switch1 x Pair Mounting Brackets1 x Mains Power Cord4 x Mounting Screws2 x Mounting nuts and bolts1 x User Guide***** Installation / Usage *****The YuanLey switch works in exactly the same way as other switches and requires no configuration on your part. You simply connect your devices to the PoE ports, connect the switch to your existing network via an uplink port and connect it to the mains.***** Conclusion *****Currently, I only have 1 PoE IP camera but intend to add more.Being able to power the cameras using a single Ethernet cable is a huge advantage and makes installation far easier. I have my switch mounted in my attic so only needed to run a single Ethernet cable between my router and the switch and then a single Ethernet cable between the switch and the camera. It is also possible to power non PoE enabled cameras using the YuanLey switch, by using a spliiter – you will need to make sure the splitter is capable of reducing the voltage from 52v to 12v, which is usually used by non PoE cameras or you will damage them.I also like having just a single power source as it helps to keep the installation nice and neat. All in all, I am quite pleased with the build quality and the value for money is very good. Having 8 ports means I have enough room for expansion in the future.

Well made POE switch and great price !
I ordered this 8 port poe switch for my 6 dahua ip cameras.Because its spec meets all of my requirements---total 120w watts,8x10/100Mbps POE ports and 2x10/100Mbps RJ45 uplink ports. All 1-8 POE ports comply with PoE+ standard, fanless(very quiet). Done one week stress test to verify that all components work well.About the switch:There are 2 components - the switch itself and a power cable(Power built-in).The switch is very compact and light. You can put two switches in 1u cabinet space. It is made in Shenzhen China.About the ports:There are 8 10/100Mpbs poe ports and 2 10/100mbps uplink ports. (most applications need an uplink port ,for example ,NVR,router), The maximum PoE output power of the whole switch is 120W, and the maximum PoE output power of a single port is 30W.Hook up:There is no on/off switch. Plugging the power supply in turns the switch on. I recommend doing this first, then connect the POE devices at a time. I did try plugging-in/unplugging the power supply with all POE devices connected. There was no problem.Power consumption:I connected 6 dahua cameras to the switch. At full load, with all cameras booting at the same time and infra on (they turn on during boot), cameras+switch used around 50w (kill-a-watt). With the infra off, cameras+switch used around 35w. For these reasons, I was not able to verify the 120w output claim.Heat dissipation:The switch was never even warm. The cameras did get HOT, but survived the test. The power brick was more of interest because it will be in a VERY HOT attic. It was normally warm. To stress test, I wrapped it in a towel and put all cameras in a dark room to triggered the infra. In a few hours, the brick got quite hot, but not bad. Left it that way for a day. Conclusion is that it should survive my attic. In all, I'm very satisfied with this brand poe switch.
