Thick mylar bags, will work for 5 gal bucket
The first thing I noticed was how thick these bags were. Since I just stored things in them, I don't know how well they will do their job but their heft was reassuring. As I went to place these into a 5 gallon bucket, as another reviewer pointed out, I noticed they seemed a little smaller than a 5 gal bucket. Certainly, because they are cut straight across the bottom, this made putting them into the bucket and getting them ready to fill a little bit of a struggle. The excess material and the thickness of the bags caused some bunching but there's really nothing you can do about that. I anticipated being able to fold the extra length of the mylar over the edge of the bucket so I could fill it easily, but due to the width of the bag, that wasn't possible. I could fold it down but it would lay inside the bucket. So I just had to pour in the items with one hand holding open the bag until I had enough inside to bang the bucket up and down a few times to distribute the items. Then the bag stood open well enough on its own to finish filling. No problems sealing with my adjustable temp hair straightening iron. I would buy again.

Bad oxygen absorbedGood quality bags
Update: the 2000cc oxygen absorbers do not work. They did NOT absorb the oxygen and I tested to confirm and I was right. I wasted Mylar bags. I recommend that you seal one food product in Mylar bags with the oxygen absorber. Check the bag the next day to see if the bag shrunk. If shrunk, proceed with sealing more survival food because you have tested the absorbers work before placing in a large bucket for long term storage. These are 5 gallon bags and are strong and fit my needs. I only purchase 10 bags because I am going to start storing food long term. I will order more after I fill and store these.

Easy to use and feel durable.
The bags arrived quickly and are of a good size for putting in a 5 or 6 gallon bucket. Sealed easily with a household iron on a 1x4 board across the rim of the bucket. Watch a few YT videos if you are unsure. The O2 absorbers went to work over night and the bags looked almost vacuum packed by the next morning when they were done reacting. The absorbers have a very short life in open air once the clear package is cut open, so get all of your items in the buckets and ready to seal before throwing an absorber in and sealing the whole lot in a quick fashion. I'm satisfied and will probably buy another set of these bags and absorbers.

Oxygen Absorbers should not come in a single pack
If you're planning on not using the 10 bags at once, then you should be aware to have a mason jar with lid with ring at home before you open the oxygen absorbers pack. I got my package today and the bags look good, but as a suggestion it would be far better if the oxygen absorbers came at least in two packs of 5. That way you don't have to run to the store to find somewhere to store the remaining oxygen absorbers you don't use so they don't get ruined. Please take this into consideration, it would be very helpful.

Strong Deep Bags
I purchased these bags for long term food storage. First, they were a great value! The shipping was super fast with protective packing. (No folds or creases in these bags!) They are strong mylar without the hint of tearing. Lastly, these bags are super deep! When placed into 5 gallon buckets, they hold their shape, with or without a cuff around the top. They seal well with a hair straightening iron and there's about 8 inches below the seal to utilize the bag again or reseal. I'll be re-ordering in the future!

The media could not be loaded.

Completely Reliable Purchase
I purchased this after having trouble recieving my order from packfresh. I used everything in this order for a big food in buckets and mylar project. Everything performed perfectly. To my dismay I needed a little more product and finally recieved from Packfresh. When I opened the bags they smelled so heavy of a cologney chemical smell I wouldnt put food in them. I also used a few of thier O2 obsorbers and those bags failed to suck down.

Great mylar bags!
Thick, sturdy bags. I feel that I got a very good value with these bags. Sealed easily and well with my flat iron (hair straightener) set at 400 degrees. They fit well into 5gal buckets and had plenty of bag length left to seal and fold down. I will definitely buy again.

Oxygen absorbent patches should be packed individually
I bought 10 bags/patches to share with others. Mylar bags worked good, as advised in many you-tube videos (use 20L bucket, do not use 35L bucket for 20kg bag, patches do not absorb if the bag is not tightly packed). I had a problem with oxygen patches however: they came all sealed in one bag and as soon as I've opened it I had to manage them all at once as they started "working" in open air. Lucky I had a sealing device and I sealed back the patches which I could not use on the day (I had to give some to friends and to use some myself, but later on). I did use them later, but I think they've lost a little bit of strength. What I am trying to say, is: if you purchasing oxygen absorbent patches, request them be sealed individually.

holes in my mylar bags
I ordered 10, 5 gallen mylar bags, out of the 10, I could only use 1, due to the folding of them all together it destroyed 9 of them, they might want to have some better policy and procedures when it comes to such fragile products may like rolling them any way sixty bucks down the drain thanks to the circus performer who folded the hell out of them and then forced them into a small box, thanks mate, but i do under stand you get paid peanuts so why would you think or care.
