This is a mighty little tool!!! It cleans thoroughly and quickly. It’s efficient and somewhat easy to use (I’m disabled, so it might be operator error). I have an ageing chihuahua who decided this winter was the perfect time to use the living room rug as her personal toilet. This made cleaning that as simple as I could imagine. It cleans up older stains as well with just a little extra effort. I also used just hot, as I could stand, water once the area turned clear water. The only cons I have is that the dirty tank fills up fast and if you have more than just a small area it takes a few empties to get it clean. The bottle of concentrate is very small. I’ve already ordered a big bottle and I’ve only used the machine today. It says it’s scented, but I can’t smell it, which is a plus for me, as I can be sensitive to smells.

I bought this mainly to tackle dog urine spots on our carpet, and I was honestly impressed with how well it worked. The hose is long enough to comfortably reach problem areas without dragging the whole machine around, and the suction is stronger than I expected for a cleaner this size. What really stood out was how well it handled the stains. I sprayed the area, scrubbed lightly, and the machine pulled the dirty water right back out of the carpet, leaving it only slightly damp. The spots that had been bothering me were gone much faster than I expected. For years, I've been spot cleaning my aging cats' messes with old washcloths and carpet cleaner from a pump bottle. It took a lot of elbow grease, and I wasn't always able to get it all clean the first time. I purchased this carpet cleaning machine, hoping for a better way. TLDR: The Dirt Devil Portable Spot Cleaner Machine is compact with powerful suction and well thought out design. First, let me say that this is definitely not a carpet cleaner you're going to want for large areas. It's for cleaning small areas - cat vomit, spilled drinks or food, muddy footprints - and does a great job at it. It's quite compact, with the vacuum hose and power cord wrapping neatly around the unit. The collection reservoir is convenient to remove for cleaning and is designed so that there are few tight spaces to collect dirt. A simple rinse is all it takes. The tank for the carpet cleaner is small, but I find that I'm able to do three or four rounds of cleaning up after kitties before having to refill it. The suction is surprisingly powerful, so the carpet is left only a little damp after cleaning, and leaves no visible residue. After cleaning up several messes, I've examined the cleaned area with a bright flashlight and have been pleased to see no sign of anything left behind - unlike the washcloth and pump bottle days. My wife frequently observes that she thought the purchase was a waste of money, when I first ordered the Dirt Devil, but now feels that it was money very well spent.

Works pretty well,definitely does help with stain removal.Im using it rn to clean cars and it does work as intended.Only problems I’ve had is the bristles are too rough for certain materials,and the tanks are too small.But for the bristle issue,you can just pry off the red part (which I just did).But the clean water tank being so small sucks for car cleaning.Constantly having to refill it,and the dirty water tank is easily spillable as the top just falls off.But besides that stuff,it’s durable,easy to use and works well

I’m seriously impressed with this Dirt Devil Portable Spot Cleaner! It has amazing suction power and pulled out stains from my carpet and couch that I thought were permanent. The attachments make it super easy to clean tight spots, upholstery, and even car seats. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and simple to empty and clean after each use. If you have kids, pets, or just everyday messes, this little machine is a lifesaver and absolutely worth it!

I’ve used this a few times now just for little spots on the furniture/rug. It works well and I don’t have any complaints. The hose cleaning feature is great! Hoses on these little machines get FUNKY and the rinse keeps everything smelling. ESPECIALLY IF YOU INTEND TO CLEAN URINE. The tank does fill up quickly, but all parts on this machine are very easy to handle.

I had a bissel little green machine for a few years that started leaking in 2 different places. I needed to replace it. It worked ok , but it was a little clunky and my biggest complaint was that I could never clean it well... Especially the hose. So when I would turn it on after not using it for a month it would smell. I found this one which was smaller & lighter but what sold it for me was that all the parts are removable and it even has a hose cleaning mechanism which I thought was very cool. I absolutely love it. The only downfall is that the tank is super small. But that's it. I would much rather refill the tank for larger spot cleaning than turn it on and have it smell!!

This was purchased for a portable Dirt Devil carpet cleaner. It is ok but I had to go over the small carpet several times.

We have had a number of carpet cleaning machines over the years, both upright and portable. Each of them eventually succumbed to suction problems - difficult to clean the cleaning solution out after use. We ordered this unit based on reviews after our portable green machine packed it in. Very impressive. Light weight, simply to use, great suction and for the first time, a clean out port to ensure the solution is fully removed before storage. Brilliant! Highly recommend.

This product is truly a miracle worker! It effectively removes stains from carpets, car seats, and more, making surfaces look almost brand new. While it’s an amazing product, I did find that it sometimes requires multiple passes over the same spot, especially if the area is heavily soiled—it’s difficult to achieve a clean result in just one attempt. Additionally, I noticed that to get a thorough clean, I had to apply a bit more pressure. However, I’d advise caution, as applying too much force could potentially cause damage to the device. I only used extra pressure due to the severity of the stains.
