Amended. Downgraded to 1. The soles are a thick plastic, ones that attract water. every time i walk on the kitchen floor, i get muddy footprints from this slipper!!! I dont even think i stepped in water, so not even sure how/why this happens! no slipper i have ever had does this (as previous slippers didnt have this heavy plastic of a sole, 1/2"). I have to keep washing my floors. No good!! --- I know the majority of women are overweight, but i dont understand why the manufacturer has to take it out on me. they COULD recommend you get a size WIDE, but they arent gonna sell shoes like that. it's better (for the manufacturer) to sell to the masses, and the masses are overweight. It's a really cute slipper and other aspects of it meet my expectations. this is the 3rd slipper i bought and they are all over-sized (top strap is too wide). i finally ended up keeping this one, cuz i liked the other features. i took it to my cobbler who had to sew a seam down the middle and take it in A FULL INCH. do i have narrow feet? no. i have normal width feet...until now. now, i have to buy slippers that i can take in. sure, they look goofy (which upsets me), but at least i wont slip and break something. not a 1/4 or a 1/2...but a full inch wider. if you are a good 50 lbs or more overweight, im sure they will be perfect.
