This is a good quality component for the money spent. I could not get a DVD to play correctly on my DVD player that I had hooked up to my living room TV, so I was told that possibly it would be better to play that DVD on a separate DVD player through the computer instead. They were right! It worked perfectly all of the way through with this new DVD player. It's easy to use and is nice and compact.

stopped working after 4 months

Bought this to replace an older, larger external drive and it works like a champ. Love the single cord with the hiddie.

This drive never played back. A message about lowering computer's resolution poped up. Even at the lowest resolution play back failed. Unfortunately I'd never had used it until two months after purchase so I could not return it. Worst purchase ever!!!!

Good deal and quality, portable and useful for slim laptop! Function is great!
