These strings worked well. I will use them again. comfortable to play on.

We'll see how long they last, but the tone when fresh is quite nice - almost in between bronze and Aregentine strings. Love the low tension feel on my Selmer style guitar. Only drawback so far is they seem a bit "finger-squeakier" than most while playing. Def will try again.

Been playing all my life professionally (now retired at 60). I play mostly acoustic guitar. On my full size dreadnaughts I usually use 80/20 bronze which give great tone and are perfect for flat-picking, finger-picking and strumming. However, these silk & steel have proven to be the best sounding string for my 000 size parlor guitar. The feel is more like a Nylon string. Slightly softer tension, though still a steel string over-all tone. An Intimate, sweet gentle blend is the way I would describe the sound. Nicely balanced across the tonal range. Less projection than traditional strings, but mic very well. I haven't had any trouble with longevity (if your strings tarnish fast, try washing your hands before playing and wipe the strings down between sets). These last just as long as any other type of string. I'm glad Amazon has them as they are hard to find in my area.
