Everyone should be a little more like Snufkin
I love Snufkin because of his independence, his free-thinking, his spirit of adventure and his wisdom about friends, nature and freedom. This book completely captures his character and reminds us all about the truths of life - if everyone read this book and was a little more like Snufkin, the world would be a kinder and less frantic place to be! The book itself is well presented with nice illustrations and well organised quotations. Useful to pick up and read when you're feeling a bit low and uninspired.

Good for a collector
I do like this book. Brought it from a moomin collector that I have in the family. They seem to like it too. Wasn’t really sure what to expect but it’s a nice little read.

心にもお財布にもやさしい英語のペーパーバック的な絵本
ペーパーバックを辞書無しで読めるようになりたいと常日頃から思いながら、なかなか思うに任せず。本屋さんのペーパーバックはやはりforeigner向けであって・・・。もちろん絵本なのですが、比較的難しくないそしてなんとなく類推できる範囲の英単語をつかっているという意味でもおすすめです。また、このsnafkinの無造作な感じがわたしにはよかったです。ハードカバーなので巷にあるほんわかした絵本を想像するかもしれませんが、開くと使っている色も極力抑えてあって「大人な」感じです。書斎の他の単行本やＰＣと一緒にしても違和感のないかわいさがあると思います。ふだんからペーパーバックをばりばり読んでる人はちょっとしたbraekに、英語力は微妙だけど英語の本が欲しいというあなたには、ちょっとおしゃれかも。子供向けとしては、どうでしょうかね、色を楽しむ絵本がほしい子には向かないと思います。snafkinが好きな人にはgiftとしても、自分で購入してもお値段もかわいいですよ。

A quote book with very clear illustrations. No storyline.
Cute book, with very clear illustrations from the books, and somewhat random quotes from the books from Snufkin, about a range of subjects. No continuity or story. Would only be good for a big fan of Tove's character, and isn't a picture book for children or anything like that. Still a worthy item, and the exerpts draw one in, as all of Jansson's works do.

More like excerpts- not Snufkin deep thoughts
Purchased for a Snufkin fan. The book is really excerpts from various Moomin books as opposed to deep thoughts from Snufkin- which was a little disappointing. Book also came quite scuffed however i managed to clean it up before giving it as gift.
