Kärcher 2.642.706.0 Splash Guard, Yellow

After about three hours of jet washing our block paving, I was exhausted and covered in mud and grime. I wasn’t sure how I’d tackle the rest. Because we have deep granite setts, getting the weeds out requires using the high-power lance attachment — which blasts mud and dirt everywhere. Half the job ended up being cleaning the walls and windows of the house. I tried the T-racer, but it didn’t remove the weeds. While searching for a splash guard, I came across this—and managed to get it next day (albeit warehouse deal for next day delievery). What a difference it made. I spent several more hours outside and only had a few specks on my jeans above the boot line. No more spray reaching the upstairs windows. It’s a game changer—this should come standard with every power lance. Worth every penny. Only downside is the instructions are daft - they give you colour coded rings with no indication of that colur ring per attachment. Not hard to figure out but cmon guys.

Works great and prevents mud and gunk from being splashed all up your walls, would recommend if you need to clear close to the house/door as it also easy to control where the water flows so you don’t end up with soaking door mats and dirty walls. I would recommend as a useful add on

This is one of the better additions I have found for a Karcher washer. I find the patio type cleaners to be of litter use, as the spray is too weak. Using the lances for patios cleans better, but makes a significant mess, and even manages to splash muddy water on windows, doubling effort (as then have to clean windows). This gadget reduces splashes by about 90%. As well as less splashes up walls and windows, I am kept dryer too. The main issue is the fittings are a bit stiff, those with limited ability, or cold hands may struggle. A tip is to always wash the guard and fittings afterwards so that any dirt does not get trapped in the connections and making future fitting difficult. Overall, I find this guard very useful.

Wow! What a brilliant piece of kit. Fitted the splash guard to the dirt buster on my old K4 using the grey collar and it has cleaned our entire block paved drive and I’m not covered with dirt and wet sand! Handy tip- don’t drag across the surface and it will prevent 90% of splash!

I dropped it getting out of the box & it split so didn't get to use it. Not very robust

You will need an appropriate Karcher - we recently bought the K4. Use the yellow attachment on the guard for the variable lance and the grey attachment for the dirt blaster lance. These are relatively easy to attach. The hard bit is manipulating the lance into the guard - but worth it & is easy to remove. Go for the vari lance first with Stone Cleaner solution. Set the vari lance to Level 1 to spray solution on the drive/ pathway/ wall then rack the lance up to 3 and you're in control - driveway cleaned without getting covered. Did the job in half the time and with a better result. For the difficult bits revisit & use the dirt blaster lance.

Make a splash investment in this item and you won't splash all over the place again. I spent a few hours spray-cleaning half of my driveway before purchasing this and I looked like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards. Seriously, I was finding dirt in places that seemed impossible to reach - yes, even there! With this fitted to my trusty Karcher K4, however, I could have dressed in my Holy Communion outfit and been as clean as a whistle. (For those wondering, at my Holy Communion I was dressed in white shorts, yes SHORTS, and pleated white shirt with white patent shoes, a contrasting navy dickey bow and navy and white striped socks! Don't worry, still in therapy). So buy this item and you too can dress up like a pious French sailor and still have a clean driveway.

I bought this for my AVA Evolution P80 pressure washer. I can confirm the yellow adapter provided fits onto Ava's turbo head attachment (snaps on snuggly, will need a tool to remove). Does an excellent job of containing the spray-back if kept at the correct angle. Makes using the pressure washer less messy and makes for faster work cleaning the patio and other flat surfaces. Used with the Ava turbo head allows me to use all of Ava's power without the mess.
