Are both ends the same size?

No, they are different shapes and sizes. The smaller round end fits into the top of the Breast cup which attaches to the bottle and the larger triangle end fits into the pump.

Will it work on the mini electric?

Certainly works on the swing and maxi swing. Sorry i dont have the mini electric to check

Yes it does (I purchased mine from Amazon in December 2021 and used it on my old/original Medela Swing single electric pump from 2010)

Does this work on the medela swing. Few reviews says yes and few said no. Which is it now?

Yes works with my medela swing single pump and its tubes. Confusion probably because you need an extender backflow protector to fit woth standard tubes for medela swing maxi and then done use the yellow valve. Or alternatively use this breastshield, its yellow valve and dont use the backflow protector and you need to change the tube ends to the regular single pump tubing ends is how i hashed it together. So works for my medela swing maxi(with the ‘y’ tube modification) and medela swing
