This is a book that is especially good for anyone wanting to brush up on their framing techniques. Particularly good at explaining roof framing. Excellent drawings and sketches. Lots of old school seabee know how for anyone in a farm or rural setting.

and you can use one of these to help you build, or repair, anything from a fishing dock to a barracks wing.It's a textbook for the building trades as needed by US Navy members, written in clear simple language with illustrations for the technical terms it introduces readers to. Well worth having as a reference.

I was hoping that an old military book would be more helpful and well-rounded.Building what I'd classify as a "larger outbuilding" I was looking for more information on how to design and build a "pier and beam" foundation. I didn't find much here.Not a bad book for your reference library - if you can find it cheap. This book sold for $4.50 brand new (back in the day) keep your eyes open and you may find one at a bargain price.
