Q: Can i make my next batch of kefir from the first prepared litre by removing some before straining and keeping in fridge before adding to next batch?

Yes you can, I didn't strain mine. Put 200ml of fermented kefir into a clean jug, slowly stir in 800ml of fresh milk to bring it up to a 1Litre. You can make up to 4 ferments per sachet. Hope this helps.

Q: Will this product make the thicker yogurt like product or the drinking variety?

The Nourish Kefir starter makes the drinkable version of kefir. It's fairly thick to start with then, once it's chilled and stirred, it goes a bit more runny. General information- the first batch made with a new starter, can take up to 30 hours to ferment, while subsequent fermentations take less than 20 hours. Hope this helps.
