It works and is pretty cool after you bang your head against the desk a few times.
It works, finally. There are not a lot of instructions to help you but if you stick with it you can figure it out. I did order the Speed Talk sim card and it did eventually work. Here are some of my lessons learned:1. Turning the watch completely off is key to getting everything set correctly. it isn't just touching the button to make the screen go dark. hold down the key to completely power off. put the sim card in while off, then turn it back on. Do this as many times as it takes to make it work. It needs to set2. At first the watch would call out but we couldn't call the watch. we checked settings and everything seemed ok. However, the trick to make this work was to uncheck the allow all numbers box and then check it again. once we went back in it said "configuring" and then allowed us to call the watch.3. we are still messing with the watch and have not figured out sms text messaging or how to add music or how to get weather to show up on the watch. not sure if i will, just figuring out the basics is tiring.

GPS that really works!
My son loves this watch! I was a little afraid that it wouldn’t work at first since I was told by T-Mobile that we couldn’t connect the device with them since it’s a kid watch. I decided to go ahead and purchase the recommended service through Speedtalk. Now we’re up and running. I can call my son and vice-versa. He loves that he can send little voice messages and take pics. The pedometer works well. And as late NC as your little one isn’t sending voice messages every min of the day the battery will last long. We do wish we could text because that would cut down on the voice messages. . Also the watch has an option to add music but the app doesn’t give that option. Also the reminder alarm is great I just wish you could set up more than one alarm. Overall, the watch is dependable and does what it says.

Watch and App are great, but SIM carrier may be an issue...
The watch's functionality is excellent, so is the functionality of App that you use with it. My only issue is that the signal strength is very low and the watch is shown as offline several times, loosing communication with the app on your cell phone. I live in Katy, Texas and bought a SIM card from Speedtalk, which underlays a fraction of T-mobile network. I'm still not sure if the problem is the watch's Antenna or if it is the SpeedTalk network. I think the problem is Speedtalk... Will have to test with another provider to get to a conclusion.

Good but not great
It's easy to use and set up. The GPS location is not very accurate though it gives a fair location of where my kids are. One of the downside, is the language. I like that it's giving me alert but the messages are always in Chinese characters. I just assume that it is an alert message say for example my kid just called me or send me voice message, then it will send me text message of that certain activity. Also the time alert is not accurate even I set it up on my current location and time. Voice calls are clear and my kids like to take photos and send them to me. I like that the kids can call me anytime and I can also reach them anytime even if they are in school.

More durable than Owl watch
Weve tried several children's phone watches and this is the best one and most durable so far. It's still new technology so it's quirky and you have to be a little tech savvy to run the app. Like I said it's new technology so things will get better but this is the best right now.

Great watch however severe security risk if not careful
This is an amazing watch HOWEVER, when binding please scan the barcode the watch provides in the settings and not on either of the stickers provided. I bought this watch and binded using the barcode the watch provides in jan 2018. I got a call yesterday 3/20/18 from another parent trying to bind their watch. What we discovered is his stickers that came with his watch were actually the imei #s for my child's watch. When he bound his watch he was actually accessing my child's watch, which meant he could talk, listen, and even gps locate my child. He basically had access to my app and could change phone numbers for everyone except the administrator as that was myself. This is a parent's worst nightmare. Somewhere in production the wrong imei stickers got placed on the watches. This other parent is unable to scan the barcode on his actual watch to bind correctly. I ordered another watch and am hoping all numbers match so I do not have this issue again. I tried contacting abardeen with no response yet. I also tried addressing the issue with amazon but the representative didn't seem to care about the security risk this places on our kids. They were unable to provide me with contact information for abardeen and I had to search that for myself.Up to this point we have loved this watch and it has done everything we have needed. The gps is accurate, I love the baby monitor feature, and it is easy for my little one to use.

One Star
Not idea for kids who are in contact with water all the time.
