NERVOUS (Give Me Space) Yellow Colour Coded S-M L-XL Dog Collars PREVENTS Accidents By Warning Others Of Your Dog In Advance (L-XL)

Bought initially for my rescue pup that is reactive against other dogs after being attacked in a previous home...Very sturdy, thick and well made.Altered slightly to fit my pup which was easy to do.The plastic altering part is extremely tough and would be hard to break (unless, in my case.... see below comment).On a walk late afternoon a couple of weeks ago, a loose dog attacked mine (mine was harnesed, leashed and muzzled for mine and his safety and protection), the other dog punctured both my pups ears, the back of his head, and damaged the collar altering part by competely snapping it ...and punctured a hole through the thick collar whilst trying to bite at my dogs neck.If my pup wasn't wearing his collar, he would have been seriously injured...This collar is definitely a lifesaver for me, and my therapy dog.

The idea is great but the execution falls short. My miniature schnauzer has a 32cm collar size, so I ordered the S-M collar. The collar would be better if an actual small size is available where the warning words are visible and the collar made with smaller fastenings and softer band.Pros:* Collar appears well constructed from quality materials* The yellow is very bright and visibleCons:* Adjusting the collar to fit my dog's neck means that the first “nervous“ word is obscured by the fastening and hangs under my dog's throat due to the weight of the fastening. The second “nervous” word sits on the side of my dog's neck, so is only visible to people approaching from that side* The “nervous” words are embroidered with letters too close together, making the words not that easy to read* The collar is very thick (double layer), making it stiff and the fastenings quite large, so not suitable for a small neck. The materials are more suited to larger, heavier dogs* The section where the D-ring is attached has the attachment point on the inside of the collar, i.e. the side against the dog's neck. It forms a large, hard lump against the dog's neck, so you have to wonder about the comfort level

I bought this collar along with the matching lead. My Sproodle uses a harness so I use the collar as a visual aid and it has her identity tag attached. The collar is well made and strong. The quick release fastening works well and is not fiddly like some. It washes and dries well. My dog does not like strangers to just approach her and is very nervous of them along with other dogs that just come bounding up to her. She can bark and she can be possessive if they run up to me. I am hoping that in time, walkers will see and read the collar and lead so they will either recall their dog or not come up to mine and try to pet her. It does work most of the time, especially in the vets waiting room!

As all Dexil products, great value for money. This is our 2nd collar (I lost the first one) and this one is also of great quality and fits perfectly. As far as I know, Dexil is the only company here that offers labelled collars or leads, we also have their 'blind dog' coat, similarly good quality. They are definitely my go-to brand for dog stuff

Great purchase! I do use this alongside a lead cover that says 'space needed' for my nervous/reactive dog, but the combination of 'yellow' works well. The collar itself is quite thick on my small JRT, but it has to be so that a) it can be seen and b) the writing is obvious! A few months down the line and a couple of machine washes in, the collar still looks like new, the clip is very sturdy, and shows no signs of breaking anytime soon - good buy!

This is a brilliant item and a must have for anyone with a nervous dog. It makes people aware of any problems with your dog and they tend to keep away which works and does what it is designed for. Been asked by many where I bought this from. would recommend this item

I thought this collar might be one of those thin nylon ones, but in fact it is good quality and well made, with a soft lining to make it comfortable to wear, and I’m very pleased with it. The lettering shows up well and generally I’m finding it helpful when walking my nervous-reactive dog.

Over the moon with this purchase, my dog Billy who we got from kennels is very nervous around strangers and other dogs with this collar people ask what it means. When I explain that I am asking them to give him space and not to make sudden movements towards him they understand so if I can educate one person every time we go out I will be very happy. Very well made and fast delivery will highly recommend this product.
