There is no nut in the ingredients list so that’s a plus. Thank you for that. Sometimes there’s candlenut added to rendang depending on the brand. The instruction said to simmer the beef for 40 minutes but most of the times rendang has to be simmered for at least a couple of hours to get the sauce to thicken up and also the flavor to immersed in the beef. Overall the taste of this mix is authentic! It’s most definitely rendang, not curry. Will definitely buy again. Oh yeah, there’s an expiration date on the package. Homiah definitely understand us consumers. :)

I really love this laksa paste and I add several ingredients including chicken broth and shrimp and pineapple among other things to enhance the flavor since I dont have a lot of time to make this from scratch.

We really liked the taste of the laska base. However you still have to buy Coconut milk and noodles, making it a very expensive meal. Especially if you use good Hokken noodles as has been suggested by other posts.I now just buy Prima Taste Laksa that already comes with noodles and the base and a pouch of coconut milk powder and costs even less if you buy the 12 pack. As a Malaysian now living in Tempe, I was delighted to come across this brand. My mother sent me a box as a gift and I absolutely loved it. The recipes were simple and easy to make and the flavors tasted just like home! 🙌🙌 It's hard to find any Malaysian food in Arizona (you have to make it yourself) so this meant a lot to me and brought me to those nostalgic days of seeing my grandma cook in the kitchen with wonderful, homey smells. This is an amazing gift to give those who love to cook! I was super happy with this wonderful present and am excited to share this brand with other fellow foodies. ❤️😊🙏

Purposefully bought from this company as the ingredients list states unrefined coconut sugar is used instead of white sugar, which I cannot eat. Imagine my surprise when I look at the ingredient list again once the pouches arrive to discover this product uses regular sugar NOT coconut sugar. Of course you also cannot return this item, so this is a loss for me.

Not as good as the yellow or coconut curry.
