Created by Greg Daniels (The Office, The Simpsons) and Michael Schur (The Office, Saturday Night Live) and featuring phenomenal guest stars, such as Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) and Will Forte (Saturday Night Live).DVD set contains all 16 episodes, deleted scenes, 3 extended episodes, gag reel and a Li'l Sebastian Tribute.

Great mockumentary!
Having first seen Parks and Rec on BBC 4 earlier this year I have become a big fan of the series. So much so that I could not wait for BBC4 to get around to showing series 3 that I had to buy it instead! As many reviewers here point out the series really does get better with age. By this series the characters have developed into something really funny (Not that they weren't funny in the previous series!). This series certainly contains some of the most gripping and funny episodes of the whole show. I defiantly give this buy a 5 Star rating, it is fantastic! Can't wait for series 4 and onwards to be released on UK DVD.

If you haven't seen Parks and Rec yet, sort yourself out
Awesome show, loved it from season one, and the characters have only gotten better. Fans of Aziz, any Saturday Night Live or any clever but slightly odd comedy will probably already have seen this show, but if you havent you need to change that soon.So many great things about this show, that makes you say "just one more episode" until you you realise that sadly you have come to the end of the season. Need to get the other seasons on Amazon Instant soon, because Im not sure I can wait for the DVD boxsets to be delivered.

Its good actually.
I originally started to watch it as background noise when I was cooking or cleaning... something I didn't have to concentrate on but actually Its got better and this is y favourite season so far. The only reason I haven't given it a 5 is because I honest to god do NOT get the running Jerry gag. Why does everyone treat him like a dick?

Hilarious
This show has been a recent addiction of mine. I have always been a fan of The American Office and Amy Poehler so this was on my radar a long time ago. Sadly it has taken AGES for anyone to show it in the UK. I'm so glad BBC picked it up because I have bought each DVD as soon as it's released. It's a brilliantly funny show with a fantastic cast. It's a show I can literally sit and watch for hours

Addictive in a pleasurable joyful way and oh so clever!
Absolutely brilliant! Yes the characters are all exaggerated caricatures of different types of personalities but not to the point of becoming a fantasy. The implied dialogue is so clever and funny it actually makes you laugh out aloud. Amazon is turning us into TV series junkies with their very clever series.

Keeps getting better.
The only reason I've given this 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were only 16 episodes in this season (24 in season 2 and 22 in season 4). Mind you, I love this series so much that even 24 episodes seems a bit short. Sadly I have to wait until Jan 2014 before season 4 is released on DVD in the UK.

If you like American political dramas you will like Parks and Recreation
The leading lady Amy Poehler plays bureaucratic council deputy manager Leslie Knope. A very funny series which is similar to American political comedy series Spin City and the drama of West Wing.

An American sit com which is funny! Sure it has its moments when its not ...
Finally! An American sit com which is funny! Sure it has its moments when its not but mostly its on point. The characters are written so well you genuinely feel empathy for them. Apart from Jerry.
