I really really hate this box. It offers so much and seems like such an awesome idea. But.- The instructions are awful- There is no Internet forums to ask for help- Nothing works- The polystyrene has to be cut to pieces and makes a huge mess when you sand it down- You can see it was originally in German and was poorly translatedWould not recommend.

Great science kit. Lots of info and lots of fun for kids who love science. My on used it as part of his science fair display the other kids loved it.

This couldn't have costed more than $10.00. to make. The solar panel fell apart being installed on the house. Windmill blades are made out of toothpicks,foam and a cheap paper cut out. This couldn't stay together in the windstorm that would be needed to even power the led light provided. Hope that my son can still grow a plant in his $90.00 greenhouse.1 rating because this needs a star rating to be posted.

Too simple for a 10 yr old

I bought this for my 6 year old son because he loves to see how things work. He is very interested on science, and engineering. I have also purchased Thames & Kosmos products before; so I am familiar with the quality of their products. This product was a smaller version of another one made by T&K. My son enjoyed learning about solar power with this product, but I feel that the materials used in this particular set were lower in quality than the previous set I mentioned. But for the price, I can't really complain.The product arrived promptly, and overall I am pleased.
