Everbuild D4 Premium Wood Adhesive – Excellent Bonding Strength – White – 1 Litre

After using Everbuild adhesives before I thought I'd give this a go after reading about it on the woodworking forums, it came well packaged and the product carton itself is very tough so these things dont often leak. I used the adhesive to build a outside hexagon wall unit for my mothers garden and knowing it would be exposed to damp conditions the D4 was perfect for the job due to its characteristics. The product applies very easily with no odor, you do not need much so the 1Litre carton will go a long way. Clean up is with water if you get spils anywhere you should not. Overall a very good product and will be purchasing again form Amazon as the price was much lower than anywhere else.

Best wood glue I’ve used. Great adhesion dries within 20 mins. Couldn’t pull joint apart. Cheaper then Toolstation etc

This adhesive is excellent. It's very strong, is easy to clean up and sets in a reasonable time. However is has one major drawback for me, and that is it's short shelf life. I've bought multiple bottles and never go to the end of any of them because the resin has set up in the bottle. You have to be very careful that the stock that you are sent is recently manufactured or you could find it going off before you get to use it. I've found that more than six month and you'd probably start thinking about buying a new bottle.

Works very well. Dries quite quickly and is very strong.

I'm not sure if this is a modified cross-linked PVA or not, but unlike polyurethane D4 glues, such as Gorilla, this one doesn't foam out but it does set fast. In warm weather I reckon it sets in 15 to 20 minutes, which is what it says on the bottle - in cold weather you are better budgeting 40 to 60 minutes. Either way much better than a well known blue-bottled D3 PVA wood glue, with comparable glue joint strength and thickness and better weather-resistance than D3 products. Leaves a light brown glue line. Treat like PVA and don't leave it where frost can get to it - just like D3 PVA it doesn't work at very low temperatures and frost will kill it. Used this a lot on refurbs and it's well worth a slight premium over D3 PVA

I think the glue is great. However, the bottle is flimsy. I was only using the glue for a short time when the bottle was knocked off the workbench. It fell to the floor and the bottle split, spilling some of the contents over the floor. This is the premium product so should be packed in a more premium bottle.

Einige negative Rezensionen hätten mich fast davon abgehalten, den Leim zu kaufen. Zum Glück habe ich den Leim im August 2020 doch bestellt. Und kann 7 Monate später klar sagen: Das ist der stabilste und am besten zu vearbeitende Holzleim, wenn es um Holz im Ausseneinsatz geht, mit dem ich je gearbeitet habe. Viele negative Rezensionen beschweren sich über ein abgelaufenes Haltbarkeitsdatum. Dabei hat das Produkt gar kein aufgedrucktes Haltbarkeits- sondern ein Herstellungsdatum (MAN = manufactured). Bei meiner Lieferung lag das Datum 3 Wochen in der Vergangenheit. Passt also. Traurig, dass einige Rezensenten den Fehler nicht vielleicht zu erst bei sich suchen. Dann handelt es sich um einen D4-Leim, also um einen Leim für den Ausseneinsatz. Meistens verwendet man hier 2-Komponenten-Leime, denn normale Holzleime sind nicht (D1/D2) oder nur begrenzt (D3) wasser- bzw. wetterfest. Von daher sollte man, wenn man vielleicht die heimische Laubsägearbeit verleimen will, ein einfacheres Produkt wählen. Dieser Leim ist in erster Linie für Verleimungen gedacht, die dem Ausseneinsatz stand halten müssen. Jeder, der schonmal mit einem bisher üblichen Zweikomponenten-Leim gearbeitet hat (mit all den zu beachtenden Einschränkungen in der Verarbeitungszeit durch die chemischen Reaktionen) wird vor der Vereinfachung begeistert sein. Ich habe als "Teststück" einfach mal zwei Holzstücke als "T" (Stirnholz auf Platte) aufeinandergeleimt. Nach einer halben Stunde machte die Verbindung einen sehr festen Eindruck, so dass ich die Zwingen entfernen konnte. Nach ca. 6 Stunden wirkte die Verbindung bereits ausgehärtet. Nach 24 Stunden dann der Härtetest: Die Verbindung ließ sich auch mit dem vollen Einsatz der Muskelkraft von 2 Personen nicht zerbrechen o.ä. Eine Aussage über die langfristige Wetterfestigkeit kann ich nach 7 Monaten natürlich noch nicht treffen. Übrigens ist nach 7 Monaten der Leim auch noch nicht eingetrocknet o.ä. - das man solch eine Flasche natürlich in einer luftdicht verschlossenen Platiktüte o.ä. lagern sollte, sollte selbstverständlich sein. Top Produkt!

No soy experto en bricolaje, pero sí me considero un manitas y acabo reparando casi todo lo que pillo por banda. Tengo varios taburetes de buena madera con las patas algo descolgadas y un armario de exterior con madera de palets que he encolado con esta cola. Puedo decir que es muy buena, pega muy bien y que además es resistente al agua. Seré breve, me remito al título de mi comentario: un litro de cola D4 por este precio es insuperable. Encontraréis colas en Amazon d2 y d3 de muchas marcas, pero normalmente veréis que medio litro son 8/9 € de d2 e incluso d3 algo más caro y, en algunos casos, te exigen compra mínima de 2 botes, por lo que acabas pagando unos 20 € por 750 ml o 1 litro de D2 o D3. Por este precio tengo cola para muchas tardes de "trasteo", madera y tornillos. 200% RECOMENDABLE. Espero que mi comentario te haya sido útil. Saludos.

Goede en in verhouding voordelige, witte houtlijm (polyvinylacetaat) in de klasse D4, wat wil zeggen dat de lijm goed waterbestendig is en geschikt voor buitenconstructies. De houdbaarheid is relatief beperkt: volgens opgave van de fabrikant is de 'shelflife' 6 maanden na productiedatum. Wees je dus bewust van de beperkte houdbaarheid voordat je een liter van deze lijm koopt. Wellicht is een kleinere (en goedkopere) verpakking voor jou ook voldoende.
